Scan gets mines out on the map to monitor for aggression and then looks for ways to get an edge. He kills that first observer and takes a nice greedy third.
I remember me being too timid and turtly. And then you get better and more comfortable, take more risks, get punished, learn from it and take more but lesser risks. Not a good player yet though, but getting better.

@@Mrstealurgrill yeah but he killed the arbiter instead of the arbiter just leaving, and that recall was basically useless and defended that spot with a third of his entire army so he could counterattack next time and putting twice the amount of cannons in that area to prevent another recall. Also after putting more cannon he left in that area a wraith and a science vessel in case he needed more fire power

@@vOddy75 Storm and Stasis are the easiest AoE (Like Dark Swarm) spells to pull off. Stim, Mines, Matrix, Iraddiate, Lockdown, Yamato, etc need intensive micro and targeting. I tried to play protoss seriously a couple days ago for the first time with my Korean friend who always kicks my ass and I almost beat him in every match, even he was surpised. Protoss is an easy race.

eh quick 3rds are pretty risky. It worked out this game. But let's say he does this 100 times, I don't think it works that often. This toss was bad. He just got really lucky with cross spawn nexus first. Everything else, toss did was bad.
So that recall isn't quite such garbage and a bait for protoss to throw away massive amounts of resources, recall only needs to have been activated in time. It is not cancelled by losing the energy (and shields) of the Arbiter AFTER activation. The ability (Recall) has a delay before the units will be pulled, and the Arbiter does not have to be above ground onto which units may be recalled when it is activated, just when the ability finishes (some brief delay over 1 second, about 2 I think). I think it's about a 1 second for the wormhole effect at the point targetted for pulling units from (entry), followed by about a 1 second delay for the place for them to be plopped out at (exit). The EMP hits before the second wormhole starts but surely after the ability was actually activated and during or after the entry wormhole would be animating. If the protoss see a science vessel close, they can probably knee-jerk activate it then and hope the Arbiter is above droppable ground in the right timing in order to avoid recall being prevented by EMP removing energy.

The difference is all Terran units have abilities save the goliath that need to be used properly in order to win.

He recalled before the epm hit, but recall is like a vortex that is on the place you recall from for some seconds...
