A solid duo performance with some good musical synchronicity. Thank you. I've not before seen a violinist with such a large pedal board. And Chris' upper body undulates so much when he gets jammin' that I feared he was going to catch a violin bow in the eye! 😬
Thank you SO much for posting these! I am currently finishing my doctoral dissertation during covid19. Stressful. This is taking me back to simpler days when I got to see you both perform in Portland last summer.
I am truly in love with these invaluable live sessions happening in Andrew's home. The great chemistry between two genius artists gives me goosebumps and leaves me awestruck. With your music #StayingatHome is not that hard at all :)
This is great... But I'm a bit bummed that this version doesn't have Bird's whistling leading in like the original on FB. Still, amazing. Thanks for resharing it!
"Thile Bird" sounds like it could be an actual species from the shores of north Carolina or something. Birds are weird and so are you. Thanks for posting this. Cheers.
Maybe I should start a petition and submit it to the General Assembly...but, as one whose heart is in the Smokies of NC where I first heard and loved Thile’s music, I would nominate a mountain bird🙂
That equipment, in that set up, in that really great room sounds absolutely fantastic! It would make a "professional" recording want to weep in outright shame! Thanks.
Thank you for this appreciated contribution. Noteworthy though that in many cases, the better a musician (in this case Andrew) the worse he/she can express himself/herself in spoken sentences. But maybe just the general trend with 'like', 'kinda', 'sorta' having replaced a more more distinct and elegant way of verbal expression.
Really fine music. I noticed Chris doing something he shouldn't do. Turning one foot sideways, as if it was a club foot, and putting the other foot on top of it. Sort of a substitute for a foot stand. This can be bad for your back. Don't do that Chris!
Oh wait, this is an old video!!! I'm so relieved. The post date is March 27, 2020 from andrewbirdmusic. So Andrew should definitely have highlighted the fact that the video itself was recorded much earlier (2018?). I take back my "Foolish guys..." remark!
Thile bird should absolutely be a real duo.
Two absolute geniuses. Both of them deserve to have so much more mainstream success than they have had so far.
I've never seen Andrew so hyped playing with someone, probably because nobody else has really kept up with him like Thile does
I love the Bird/Thile combination! Calm and energetic, like an espresso on an early morning.
These two together
God lord
More talent humility and love
For music and creativity
We shall be hard pressed to find
No way I haven't listened to Chris Thile in forever. He is one of my fav's
This should be a band!
These 2 guys are HUMBLING!!!! (best compliment I have as a musician myself). Originality, talent and musicianship.
Love Andrew Bird and the great room...thank you!...would love to see Andrew and Ben Sollee play together...
Chris is amazing! Happy that the two of you collab'd!

revisited 10:10 again -- perhaps the best part is actually the laugh of delight at the end-- that job well done-feeling is palpable.
I've finally found my music. And so happy I could like this - to make 667....

Wait what these two are amazing
These guys are great together.
Great job. Also great Eames chair.

Hey any idea what's the intro song is?
Absolutely beautiful and awesome 😊🎶❤️😊🎶❤️
Took me over 10 minutes to realize that they aren't actually sitting on the couch.
Forced perspective like they did on lord of the rings
"Tiny couch, big concert!"
or something.
Took me 27 minutes :D
You just saved me a lot of time. Much appreciated.
Oh shit.

That performance of Valley of the Young was divineee. All love xoxo
Awesome collaboration!
I've desperately have awaited this moment.
Beautiful version of Roma Fade. Around ~10:10 ... for myself so I can go back to it.

The lure of the lore as played on a Loar.

amazing set
Brunch at 4pm.... "Aw man..."
Phenomenal. Thanks for this!
Is it selfish or is it brave ❤
yes. all i have to say is yes.
I love that Andrew Bird's socks don't match
Technically New Testament imagery in that first song but done so fantastically that we'll let it go!
My son’s middle name is Garrison. He was a huge influence.
Beautiful, thanks!
🎉
Mixed up the title of the first track when reading it. Googled "Trials, Tracks, Tribulations" instead. ...It's a very different work...
When was this originally recorded? In 2017?
"Miss understanding."
,dan'
was that zack galafanakis?
OMG where is the Reggie Watts episode?????
haha that'd be interesting..... a master musician (bird) jamming with a chap who has some musicality and can operate a loop station (watts)
what ever happened to the Reggie Watts episode?
What's the intro song???

Don't do that Chris!

why aren't you social distancing?
God, excellent question. Lord I hope they don't get it/spread it... Foolish guys, no way around it... But the. music. is. fabulous... :(
