Dude i swear this video is exactly what i was looking for, and I wasn't even looking for it, thanks youtube algo i guess. Just decided yesterday to switch to DD and I thought I had enough of my G923. I'm supposed to receive my setup in the next couple of days and I love seeing someone else going through the same process. @@simdidracing Honestly I don't feel at the moment I'm missing something, It looks like it would be very nice addition, certainly I will have it in consideration in the future. Thanks for the suggestion 👍
Dude you literally read my mind. I need the GT Lite Cockpit as well. I just ordered the exact same set up. Thank you so much for this. It really helped me make my decision.
I legit just ordered this whole setup and CAN NOT wait for it to get here. Thank you! I even got a psvr 2 the other day and boy, its INCREDIBLE! Never been a sim racer before! Thank you for this video
I have this same setup, except I currently have a CSL Elite wheel base, and I can vouch for everything said in the video. In order to increase rigidity even further, I have my rig on top of a sheet of three-quarter inch plywood. I have drilled holes in the plywood and I use heavy duty zip ties to anchor the rig to the base. It really works very well indeed.
Best intro to budget sim racing I’ve seen! I appreciate the tip about the third party power up kit alternatives. Never heard this mentioned before. Subscription earned, good sir!
You are enjoying a racing game at the level that works for your life. And that’s perfect. I’m different as I’m in my 50’s and have a lot of room in my house. And yet, I’m still Fanatec and a Sim Lab rig. Now do real race car drivers like Max Verstappen have a better setup? Heck yeah! Way more money and space than I do! So as nice as my stuff is, someone with more money will always have a better setup and do better lap times. And it doesn’t matter a lick to me! I’m getting to enjoy racing at what’s a comfortable level for me! And that puts a smile on my face every time! Everyone, just enjoy what you have. It it’s a PS4 and a controller, have fun. It’s a game, enjoy yourself. When you can upgrade, do so and keep enjoying yourself. If you don’t love racing, the best rig won’t make you love racing. And if you do love racing, you’ll love it however you can play it.
I absolutely love your two videos on the DD Pro! So down to earth and enthusiastic. Yes it's nice to have professional sim reviewers give their remarks, but your videos relate to me much more. You show the color and emotion of this product, not just the black and white specs. Well done!
Hey! It's great to see the videos are still resonating with people :) Exactly what you described is my goal with most of my videos, tech has this effect on me that when something really resonates with me, I just want to capture that feeling and turn it into something that other people can also feel. Dude thank you! I have been searching everywhere for information on how a DD base would work on the FGT lite. I was so nervous it couldn’t handle the FFB. It’s understandable it won’t perform the same way a metal frame would but from your video, it looked fine. Amazing video, I’m buying it asap now!
I have the same set up, yes you can put 100% brake force without it lifting. I sim race flat with the pedals attached on the track. Yours was set up the opposite, for short people, so the brakes are raised off the ground. Try setting it up flat like the pros (real tip), and the chair will no longer lift son
Thank you so much for this video, I can't believe that you can find such high quality content on such a relatively small channel - absolutely amazing! Your video really helped me on what to get as an upgrade from my G29 and I'm finally at a point now where I'm almost ready to put in the order for everything, thank you again for the video!
Thank You for making this video! I was just about to pull the trigger on the Thrustmaster Thrustmaster TS XW Servo Base etc and saw your video by accident!
I just recently purchased my first simracing set, the Thrustmaster T300 and dipped my toes in the world of sim racing for the first time and I'm in love. I also went with the Playseat Challenge, which is pretty decent, but the pedal tray slides and turns all over the place which makes consistency super hard, so gotta get some upgrades for that. I was tempted to try the Fanatec bundles, but since it was my first experience trying sim racing and I didn't know if I would like it so much to justify the higher price, I went with the cheaper option. Also, I heard that delivery times on the bundles can sometimes be months, which helped with my decision making.
It looks like you have a very nice seat position, your wheel at upper chest, very aggressive style. The move from Logitech to what you have now was the same wow factor for me, i came form 9 years on the G25 and wooden built rig to a 20 nm OSW and P1 Simlabs cockpit and HE pro pedals, agree with the pedals feeling like an upgrade equivalent to a DD wheel, you can smash the pedals and still have full control. A good informative video, well done sir👍👍
I honestly disagree on the position related to the arms length. I see it way too often. You're too close to the wheel (in my opinion). I've a Playseat challenge and I'm very tall and only have two position options. The one you have and with the arms much more stretched, and unless you really don't have any other option (meaning, the arms stretched doesn't work for you because your arms are not long enough) the one you're using is just unrealistic besides uncomfortable. Otherwise, nice video!
I went from Thrustmaster TS-PC 6nm belt drive to CSL DD 8nm. It's not as big a upgrade as say, going from a Logitech g29 or TM t300 but it is very noticable. The level of detail is immense, smoothness is off the charts and it's completely silent! Coupled with a McLaren GT3 v2 rim and the Clubsport v3 pedals, it feels really good. Just ordered the Clubsport handbrake and the wrc rim for all my rally/drift needs!
Thank you Harald for this review! I actually had ordered the TS-PC last night but I am going to refund and order the CSL DD 8nm now. Would you consider upgrading to DD1 anytime soon? I would love to get your opinion on this :)
@@TUGRA14 Would I consider upgrading to D1 soon? Probably not, as it's very expensive and the CSL DD covers all my needs. I's strong enough for most cases, maybe except F1 and GT3 where I could see why getting a stronger base would make sense. For me though, it's perfectly fine and I don't see the need to upgrade anytime soon.
Same setup, and I love it. I added a vertical post between my knees that I wedge between the crossbar under the wheel and the front foot crossbar of the chair. It makes the whole rig much more rigid.
I bought the same Setup, and i love it. It is so much fun and exhausting, when youre finished your session after hours. Instead of the Next Level Seat, I bought the PlaySeat Trophy. It is light and you can easily put it in the corner while not useing it. Yes, its expensive but you have no flex. The LoadCell i bought only a couple of days ago and Im happy with the decision. Im not faster than before, but more consistant. Next what I want, is a nice F1 Rim.
It really is :) That playseat trophy looks extremely good and if I had the budget it would probably would have been one of the top choices! Enjoy your setup :) You earned it!
Trophy does have flex. If you want good looking, able to store away and zero flex, plus GT or F1 position. The monkeydriver seat is the best. Pricy but nothing comes close.
it is great, But the lack of a dashboard would make the whole device soulless SIMDID is the best dashboard I have ever used, I recommend you to take a look:-D
I am very soon to have a similar setup. No load cell yet and no power boost. Going to get a metal wheel clamp. Everything else identical. I look forward to joining the sim racing community.
Such a good video man!! I have been racing the T300 GT RS for 2 years now and I am looking to upgrade to a direct drive base and a cockpit like yours. Your video came around my recommendations right in the best time!
Mostly the fact that between the two, and using only what came in the box, the GT lite can be a more rigid cockpit with less flex then the playseat challenge. Not worlds different though so if you can find either of them for substantially cheaper go for that one
Warning! Within 4 months of light use my FANATEC McLaren wheel cracked at the shifter pivot point and where it mounted to the QR. I was accused of over tightening although I used a torque wrench set at 3nm. FANATEC then replaced the wheel chassis admitting in writing it was a weakness in the wheel. Very soon after my CSL load cell pedal failed. I sent a video before sending the pedal set back as requested. I was required to make a follow up email after not hearing back. FANATEC said they can not fault the pedals asking if I want then sent back which I found a strange thing to ask? Eventually they were returned however within minutes I experienced the same issue which was consistent with magnetic interference from the CSL DD wheel base before the load cell pedal would completely shut down. I was beyond my limits at this point and driven to warn as many potential customers as I could while demanding a replacement. Following the usual delayed response, FANATEC then offered a replacement only if a show proof that they faulty load cell was again on its way back to them. FANATEC’s poor response time drove me to desperation. Keep in mind I have owned this new product for around 6 months when 2 major failures occurred. An electric technician overheard my experience and offered assistance. I was able to demonstrate the issue and within minutes the technician diagnosed a defective voltage regulator attached to the load cell circuit board. The voltage regulator is designed to reduce 5 volts coming from the wheel base or USB down to the required 3.3volts. There was no signal out of the regulator which he replaced. I am now enjoying my sim racing again while I hold my breath for the next FANATEC failure. Please take my advise and look at the FANATEC’s own forum in regards to all the issues they have and their terrible customer service.
I know you haven't done many videos related to your sim setup, but MAN your production value is INSANE, you deserve way more subs. I find it so interesting and would love to see you continue this series.
Thanks for all the encouragement :) I will definitely have more SIM related videos coming out until the end of this year thanks to the success of these two videos I got some interesting opportunities to work with the help of some brands to upgrade this setup to the next level!

the thing with the rig movement due to ffb is that whenever you're suuuuper concentrated with racing you barely notice any movement or any wiggle, but of course if it is wiggling A LOT I'd consider it a problem. I myself own a metallic rig that also has slight movement when driving aggressive or simply cause of ffb yet I barely notice it or feel it. So I'd say for those who are afraid of slight wiggle they shouldn't really IMO.
Absolutely! My entire point with showing my setup was because I was afraid when I bought everything and after using it I think it is definitely a problem but not remotely as bad as I expect
Just upgraded from Logitech Momo to a T300 and playseat challenge and I'm in love with it, but this would be my dream setup. Good to know a foldable cockpit can hold itself with this. Excellent video, keep going. Abraço
Aproveita!
@@carlosribeiroo and especially the part about starting out. Unless you have $ burning a hole in your pockets - you have to be ready to commit once you spend.
Review incrível! Obrigado. But It's a shame that the DD Pro costs 2x the price of the CSL DD just for PS compatibility. It's such a big gap that I could buy an XBox with the price difference and play with the CSL DD.
Facts! Truth is, the development of a wheel with PlayStation compatibility is notorious for being expensive due to some of the intricacies Sony puts in place for gear manufacturers. Even Logitech couldn't price their DD wheel more affordably, probably in part for similar reasons
While I think your use of the "included strap" might help stiffness, I suspect at some point you'll panic brake and end up with the chair collapsing without the strap bracing the legs. Could be worth getting yourself another strap. Thanks for the vid tho, as it reassures me that I will be ok with my GT LIte and the GTDD PRo that is currently on route to me
What is comparable with the PlayStation 5 is the base motor. What’s specific needed for Xbox compatibility is the wheels. I bought the DD Pro 15 nm base that works with PC/PS5 (chip is in the base to make it compatible with the PS5, and the Clubsport Porsche GT3 R wheel, the one that shows compatibility with PC/PS5/X Box X/S. That way I can race on all three platforms. Took a while to find out the motor works with the X Box without saying so.
Running this exact setup myself and running the loadcell at 65% for ACC and 80% in rally games. As a loungeroom racer the gt lite is brilliant and my only gripe is with the pedal deck sliding across over long sessions and winding up further left. Few cable ties have helped but i think some pipe clamps would be better
Minor correction. Xbox compatibility comes exclusively from the wheel. PlayStation compatibility comes from exclusively the base. If you get a PlayStation base and Xbox wheel. It will work on everything
Got it! Always thought you had to match compatibility between everything to have it work but at least my advice isn't going to be a problem for anyone! Thanks for your input :)
I’m a flight sim person and your perspective on making your set up easy to get out and put away to do it more often, and how you’re limited in space is exactly the position in and how I feel. Are there better setups. Yes, but I have limited space. I have a fair bit of cash I can spend but even if I could jump over the highest cliff, space, flexibility in my work area, and how difficult it is to start, stop , and clean up matter.
Absolutely, people tend to focus a lot on how nice it is when they are using their setup that they forget that sometime if it's too much of a work to setup and put away you just end up using it less and less with time. Nice to see other people feeling the same way I do :)
Congratulations, Carlos! You have mastered the English ascent well! I didn't get your nationally till I saw a comment in portuguese. By the way, do you consider GT7 a simcade like most of the SIM community say?
Hey, my Guy, it's me, Fabio! lol! I just bought this setup but with improvements, i went with a DIY 4080 extruded aluminum profile rig, I designed it myself and it actually cost me less than this Next Level racing lite. also bought an H shifter! You should do a followup video on how your sim racing life is going!
It cost me over $100 for a ten foot section of 40x40 aluminum profile. I needed it as I was attaching the real car seat I bought. My P1-X Pro rig was $850. All of it. Not sure how you got a rig built for less, maybe my supplier gouged me! 😂
Just a recommendation, get a 55 or 65 4k 120hz TV and place it right behind your wheelbase and you'll feel the immersion of driving simulation. A buttkicker is must also.
Excellent Excellent Excellent video and review! Very honest and informative 👍 I started on the ds4 with sensor steering in gt sport about 2 years ago. Upgraded within months to csl elite with lcm brake on a gt lite rig too! Then upgraded 10 months later to gt dd with lcm brake, 3drap mods (all pedals), and an art solid rig! The dd is very good and the stronger rig really helps.... I still have the gt lite with the csl setup so the 2 grand kids can race side by side! Just an idea for your buddy..... lol 😆 🤣 👍 Cheers, liked and subbed... 👍
Thank you for all the kind words ☺️ It is great when someone really enjoys the content and takes the extra time to comment something as nice as you did. Have a wonderful day Zascar :)
Absolutely! I think it feels so different that people are super quick on the trigger to "fix it" when maybe it didn't even need any fixing to begin with, but like I said, at the end of the day it's all personal preference.
I have installed the elastomer mod to the load cell brake and feels much better to do the trail braking in comparison with the original one, even though I was getting used with its stiffness. As several people who bought the rig said before, it was a way to lower its price. Thanks for the video! Best.
Dude, what a fantastic Video. Great for anybody doing an Upgrade and not sure what to do. Face it, there are millions of options out there and most likely you get lost in them. And most importantly, not everybody can spend four digit numbers on a new rig. Your choice of wheel is same as mine. For me it was not just the price, it also was the diameter of 30 inches. One upgrade I would invest in is the Metal quick release, it makes a heck of a difference. Other then that it is a great wheel. Also, for me it had to be an aluminium profile rig. Solid as a rock, but most importantly, all the options for future upgrades you have. I startet out with a basic rig and addet on as I could. Just a poor cook. 😁 But never the less, great Video. Keep it up. 👏👏👏💪😎
Hey! Yeah I totally agree with you, it's all about finding what works from you and accepting the compromises on that choice. The quick release upgrade is something that will happen sooner or later without a doubt. Also reading that you are a cook made me realize I haven't had lunch and the lasagna I made from scratch (humble brag) is sounding mighty tasty right about now. Have a great day and thank you for stopping by :)
The equipment is very good, it is great, But the lack of a dashboard would make the whole device soulless SIMDID is the best dashboard I have ever used, I recommend you to take a look😀
I had the issue with QR lite as well. Now I’m using the metal QR. It’s a difference like day and night. No annoying noises anymore and everything feels so much stiffer.
The Esports V2 wheel is about the same price as the mclaren but much better. It has magnetic shifters (the claren shifters are not magnetic as your reporter), and it has motors in the wheel for kore feedback.
I love you so much. I was waiting for the csl dd to be back in stock but now I'll just buy the GT version so I can also play on my Ps4 if I want to. Subbed+liked
I'm looking to upgrade my trusty old G25 to a Fanatec CSL DD + CSL Pedals + Thrustmaster TH8A shifter rig with this exact seat. The only thing I worry about is the flimsiness of the GT Lite seat. I'm debating on building my own rig from wood. What do you guys think would be better for the amount of money the GT Lite costs?
Just upgraded to the csl dd pro with the McLaren rim so glad i did its awesome compared to the Logitech g920 and that combo of the dd pro and the McLaren rim with with PS5 Xbox and PC
Got the same exact setup, even with the after market elastomers. My best tip for better stability costs 5€ and it´s adding a ratchet strap instead of using the strap that came with it. This way you can tighten it alot better and its also very handy when folding and keeping all stuff together if you have to move it around.
@@carlosribeiroo Just on the other side where you used your standard strap in the video, you could use two ratchet straps even or add even more straps to the sides or the back of your chair tied to a wall for example. with these straps you can secure about anything. There is a reason why they use them to secure heavy loads during transport :) just get quality straps though
This is literally the exact setup I plan on getting, already have the CSL pedals with the loadcell and a playseat challenge, just need the gt dd pro and the mclaren rim lol
Have you bought a round wheel yet? I advise doing so and reviewing it, I own the BMW wheel myself and upgraded to the Podium shifters, total investment $500+
if you want less lift in your pedals turn the pedal part of the rig upside down so it's flat on the ground not on an angle, it worked well with my fgt lite cockpit and I only weigh 62kg
I tried that thinking that it would help but it made no difference. In both positions for me I max out at around 80% brake force before I start to lift from the ground. Adding some weight fixes this issue but so does reducing brake force in the software so I did the latter
I have the F-GT Lite, with GT DD Pro and Formula v2.5, just ordered the LC pedal... I would argue this is the most solid foldable cockpit money can buy, their tubing (piping?) are wider and thicker than Playseat's hence the stability and of course, I also did tons of homework before pulling the trigger
@@carlosribeiroo Yup,I just lift up the pedals and push it to the corner of the room when I dont play, very convenient! suggest you to get some furniture pads for carpet on amazon, makes pushing the seat a breeze!
@@ThePlayer974 no I dont, my FGT lite came woth a strap to tighten the bottom (one end = the rear pedal pipe + the front seat pipe, the other end = the rear seat pipe), its holding up quite nice even with LC pedal now
Are you getting alot of buzzing and resonances through your cockpit with the fanatec? I had the Next Level f-gt lite with an entry level wheel and a buttkicker gamer and the vibration noises through the cockpit were horrible. Switched to a more solid, non folding kart style cockpit and it's much more enjoyable.
It's mostly about the peaks and the dynamic range. You get more granular and nuanced force feedback if you can output say a 15NM peak. With that said for most people the DD Pro is more then enough
Great video, I’m just about to buy this exact setup, I have a similar space issue and can’t justify the price when I’m only playing a few times a week. Think that’s confirmed the decision for me and will order it now.
I definitely recommend upgrading your quick release,, soon as practicable,, good starting point,, it’s very easy to spend thousands over the years,, 😉😁
I am a complete noob when it comes to league racing, probably have to search for some videos that teach me the basics of an event like that would work before jumping in
I have the same set up as you and love it. I just ordered the csl load cell should be here in a couple weeks probably. Also my dd pro is the 5nm version but I think it’s enough for now I will eventually get the boost kit and same wheel as you the gt3 McLaren wheel.
The wheel is silent, but the pedals are not so, since they are metal, they are quite loud when u let them snap or push hard (at least someone here in the house kept on complaining, i'll not call out names). But there is solutions out there that make them silent for small money.
You are right, the pedals aren't silent but coming from the logitech g29 where both pedals and wheel made a stupid amount of noise, I have received no noise complaints in my house :)
A special for people which cant use their legs would be really nice. Like which steering wheels got analog paddles so they can be used as Brake or throttle etc.
Dude, many steering wheels have analog paddles. You need one with a double clutch paddle like the Simagic GT Neo. You can assign the clutch paddles to whatever you want. Left paddle for clutch and right for throttle for example. ua-cam.com/video/AQS91kw9khc/v-deo.html
Point taken and I agree with you. It is a fine margin to balance between bait and not bait and I am sorry that disappointed you. Honestly it can be pretty daunting of a task to dedicate a week or two to a 10 min piece of content that if the title is slightly off no one cares about. At the same time of the time is right and people watch it I am bound to upset some of you (understandably so) At the end of the day I hope it was still somewhat helpful for you even if it wasn’t exactly what you were looking for
I'm going down the same upgrade path as you, except I went for the Wheel Stand 2.0., that wheel stand is built like a tank and feels as solid as a full blown rig even when just using a computer chair, really impressed with how solid it is. And, after 5 years on Logi pedals, the CSl Load Cells were a total game changer. Can't wait to finally get the DD too.
Cool video and thanks for the insight on that gear ! For the seat I use the playseat challenge, pretty easy to completely fold and it's sturdy and easy to set to your size ( I am 5'11'' and 250lbs) Can't wait to change for a Fanatec rig. But for now the T300 RS does the job.
Glad you enjoyed it :) And you attitude is the absolute right one! Don't let a random guy online make you feel less happy about the gear you already have :)
The equipment is very good, it is great, But the lack of a dashboard would make the whole device soulless SIMDID is the best dashboard I have ever used, I recommend you to take a look😀

Man thank you so much for making this video. I had no idea what the difference was between the CSL and the GT. Now I know it won't matter in my application bc I only play on Xbox and plan on going to PC later. Definitely ordering this weekend. So sick of the G920 I have.
I can't wait for my wheel to get here. Thanks for letting me watch your content while I wait xD Now I want some Chicky Chicky Parm Parm and I can't think of why 🤔😂
Big question, I would say if you are going to get both eventually then the 8nm is the more incremental update that will improve your current experience. The load cell will be transformative and a much bigger adjustment. So do you want a very nice upgrade now or a transformative one?
Can you buy the wheel base and then buy two separate wheels, one that is PlayStation compatible and one that is Xbox compatible that you can then interchange on the same wheelbase and pedals?
Unfortunately it's the wheelbase that is responsible for the compatibility with consoles, so you will always need a GT DD Pro for console and no wheel can give PlayStation compatibility to the CSL DD
"treat yourself" that's what i needed to hear

I have the same set up, yes you can put 100% brake force without it lifting. I sim race flat with the pedals attached on the track. Yours was set up the opposite, for short people, so the brakes are raised off the ground. Try setting it up flat like the pros (real tip), and the chair will no longer lift son
Thank you so much for this video, I can't believe that you can find such high quality content on such a relatively small channel - absolutely amazing!
Your video really helped me on what to get as an upgrade from my G29 and I'm finally at a point now where I'm almost ready to put in the order for everything, thank you again for the video!
Hey! Happy to help :) it’s messages like your that truly make me happy and excited to make more content!
Thank You for making this video! I was just about to pull the trigger on the Thrustmaster Thrustmaster TS XW Servo Base etc and saw your video by accident!
UA-cam algorithm doing an honest days work :)
Carlos, muitos parabéns. Este é provavelmente o melhor vídeo sobre o Fanatec GT DD Pro que está no UA-cam. Muito bom!
Muito obrigado ☺️
Needed that!!!!
Your introduction was litterally spot on. I have a g29 and looking to upgrade lol
Thanks men :) Glad you enjoy it and if you are on the fence trust my input because I was in the exact same situation a couple of weeks ago
Wow your jump is even more insane! Congrats on it and thank you for the compliment on the video, glad you enjoyed it!
Super, super video. You have answered all my questions/concerns. Thanks so much!
You're very welcome!
That sounds like a killer setup Harald! Enjoy :)
@@carlosribeiroo I will! I just got the wrc rim and handbrake, trying to find a way to mount the handbrake on my tube rig.
Your explanations and pedal camera shots are excellent! Best I've seen.
Same setup, and I love it. I added a vertical post between my knees that I wedge between the crossbar under the wheel and the front foot crossbar of the chair. It makes the whole rig much more rigid.
Solid solution !
It really is :)
That playseat trophy looks extremely good and if I had the budget it would probably would have been one of the top choices! Enjoy your setup :) You earned it!
Trophy does have flex. If you want good looking, able to store away and zero flex, plus GT or F1 position. The monkeydriver seat is the best. Pricy but nothing comes close.
@@-racingfan2014 I didn‘t notice any flex. The Point is, that the Playseat is very light, so it‘s not a big deal to move it in the Appartement
it is great,
But the lack of a dashboard would make the whole device soulless
SIMDID is the best dashboard I have ever used, I recommend you to take a look:-D
I am very soon to have a similar setup. No load cell yet and no power boost. Going to get a metal wheel clamp. Everything else identical. I look forward to joining the sim racing community.
Ganda tuga, grande review💪🏻💪🏻🇵🇹🇵🇹
Obrigado :)
Such a good video man!! I have been racing the T300 GT RS for 2 years now and I am looking to upgrade to a direct drive base and a cockpit like yours.
Your video came around my recommendations right in the best time!
Thanks Javier :)
Happy to help!
What made you choose the FG lite over play seat challenge ?
Thanks for the video it was really helpful 🙏
Mostly the fact that between the two, and using only what came in the box, the GT lite can be a more rigid cockpit with less flex then the playseat challenge. Not worlds different though so if you can find either of them for substantially cheaper go for that one
Love the fact that you are looking at this from a "normi's" point of view. Great video.
I did my best :) glad you enjoyed it Tony
Thanks for all the encouragement :)
I will definitely have more SIM related videos coming out until the end of this year thanks to the success of these two videos I got some interesting opportunities to work with the help of some brands to upgrade this setup to the next level!
throws away g29.your vids are great i feel like you really talk to noobs like me who are like u said "dipping ur into sim racing world"...much appreciated great vid
it is great,

Great video! Very sensible pieces of advice, lots of good common sense! Thanks for this great video!
Thanks for watching :)
Great video!! Honest and real.
And yes, when my wallet will allow it, will definetly treat myself.
always loved racing games, especialy F1 lately, but cant make myself play them without a wheel... Controler is such a pain....
Thanks Carlos, looking forward for more videos!! Subscribed ;)
Happy to help! It truly is a great experience and I’m sure once you have the time and wallet you will love every second of it!
Thanks for watching ☺️
the thing with the rig movement due to ffb is that whenever you're suuuuper concentrated with racing you barely notice any movement or any wiggle, but of course if it is wiggling A LOT I'd consider it a problem.
@@carlosribeiroo exactly, i was afraid as well
Just upgraded from Logitech Momo to a T300 and playseat challenge and I'm in love with it, but this would be my dream setup. Good to know a foldable cockpit can hold itself with this.
Excellent video, keep going.
Abraço
Aproveita!
I did already pull the trigger, and you're right, i do just want to hear someone talk about it. Thanks!
If you turn the pedal mount end upside down and run the pedals board flat on the ground, you can put in full brake force without lifting yourself.
Also, reversing the mounting plate for the DD base means you can a less cramped setup for people with longer arms.
Great review and video quality! I'm surprised you don't have more subs
I appreciate it :)
Excellent video! I have the F-GT Lite as my player 2 cockpit, and an ASR 3 as my primary cockpit. Totally agree with everything you say here.
Thanks for the compliment! Glad to hear someone with a more high end cockpit agreeing with me take :)
@@carlosribeiroo and especially the part about starting out. Unless you have $ burning a hole in your pockets - you have to be ready to commit once you spend.
Great insight and very entertaining. Love your videos.
Much appreciated! :D
Taking something into consideration, is a phrase I've heard quite a few times! :D
Even Logitech couldn't price their DD wheel more affordably, probably in part for similar reasons
simply gorgeous video bro thanks
Thank you 😊
While I think your use of the "included strap" might help stiffness, I suspect at some point you'll panic brake and end up with the chair collapsing without the strap bracing the legs.
Enjoy your setup :) It really is great!
Obrigado :)
Very honest and informative 👍
I started on the ds4 with sensor steering in gt sport about 2 years ago.
Just an idea for your buddy..... lol 😆 🤣 👍
Cheers, liked and subbed... 👍
Thank you for all the kind words ☺️
It is great when someone really enjoys the content and takes the extra time to comment something as nice as you did.
Have a wonderful day Zascar :)
I have the load cell. You get used to it and once you do it's easy to trail break with. I'm glad I never wasted money buying any mods for it.
Best.
Hey! I see you have Fanatec GT DD Pro. Same as mine. I just got GT Lite Cockpit and apparently I wasn't able to mount DD Pro on it.
But never the less, great Video. Keep it up. 👏👏👏💪😎
The equipment is very good, it is great,
But the lack of a dashboard would make the whole device soulless
SIMDID is the best dashboard I have ever used, I recommend you to take a look😀
I had the issue with QR lite as well. Now I’m using the metal QR. It’s a difference like day and night. No annoying noises anymore and everything feels so much stiffer.
Yeah, definitely something I'm considering but hopefully the upgraded metal QR will release before I decide to pull the trigger
Love you too men :) Glad I could help you!
What do you guys think would be better for the amount of money the GT Lite costs?
great edition and soundtrack sync
Thanks :) Glad you enjoy those details :)
Just upgraded to the csl dd pro with the McLaren rim so glad i did its awesome compared to the Logitech g920 and that combo of the dd pro and the McLaren rim with with PS5 Xbox and PC
Enjoy! It truly is a massive upgrade!
Got the same exact setup, even with the after market elastomers. My best tip for better stability costs 5€ and it´s adding a ratchet strap instead of using the strap that came with it. This way you can tighten it alot better and its also very handy when folding and keeping all stuff together if you have to move it around.
Good tip! Where did you use that ratchet strap?
@@carlosribeiroo Just on the other side where you used your standard strap in the video, you could use two ratchet straps even or add even more straps to the sides or the back of your chair tied to a wall for example. with these straps you can secure about anything. There is a reason why they use them to secure heavy loads during transport :) just get quality straps though
Good video! I'm currently eyeing the same bundle.
This is a quality video. Thanks
Glad you liked it! Thanks for taking the time to make my day a little better :)
I commend Fanatec for making DDs affordable to us regular folks.
Absolutely! And so many other brands are competing with it as well! Only a matter of time until it is even more affordable
This is literally the exact setup I plan on getting, already have the CSL pedals with the loadcell and a playseat challenge, just need the gt dd pro and the mclaren rim lol
You are 50% there than :D
Enjoy the journey, though, it's easy to just think about all that you don't have and not enjoy what you already have!
Thank you for your video ! First one whith a DD and the GT Lite Cockpit ❤ Are you playing on your double screen of your desk ? Or just one screen ?
That's my current setup. That McLaren wheel is a must, so cheap for what you get, it's fantastic on GT7
Yeah I agree! It's not perfect for like you said, for the money and for it being a foldable it is pretty great
@@carlosribeiroo Yup,I just lift up the pedals and push it to the corner of the room when I dont play, very convenient! suggest you to get some furniture pads for carpet on amazon, makes pushing the seat a breeze!
Did you have any movement with regular pedals ?
@@ThePlayer974 no I dont, my FGT lite came woth a strap to tighten the bottom (one end = the rear pedal pipe + the front seat pipe, the other end = the rear seat pipe), its holding up quite nice even with LC pedal now
Are you getting alot of buzzing and resonances through your cockpit with the fanatec? I had the Next Level f-gt lite with an entry level wheel and a buttkicker gamer and the vibration noises through the cockpit were horrible. Switched to a more solid, non folding kart style cockpit and it's much more enjoyable.
@Carlos Ribeiro Hi 👋, Where did you get the playstation buttons for the McLaren GT3? 🤔
Hey! They come with the gt dd pro wheel base!
The DD Pro with the boost kit is honestly so powerful I wonder how people could need anything more.
It's mostly about the peaks and the dynamic range. You get more granular and nuanced force feedback if you can output say a 15NM peak. With that said for most people the DD Pro is more then enough
Am not sure if i should get the t300 with ferrari gt3 wheel or the fanatac gt3 mclaren bundle
Great video, I’m just about to buy this exact setup, I have a similar space issue and can’t justify the price when I’m only playing a few times a week. Think that’s confirmed the decision for me and will order it now.
I definitely recommend upgrading your quick release,, soon as practicable,, good starting point,, it’s very easy to spend thousands over the years,, 😉😁
It has been in the shopping card for weeks only waiting to click buy ahah
Definitely agree that it is an almost necessary upgrade for this setup
Great review. See that you have the Playstation style buttons. Where did you these buttons from?
They came from the gt dd pro wheel base!
Wow Carlos. Your videos are high class. I'm sure your subs are going up like a rocket shortly! You should race in leagues and events on Sim grid.
I am a complete noob when it comes to league racing, probably have to search for some videos that teach me the basics of an event like that would work before jumping in
Really nice beginner setup! At 12:00 - Get a 20kg training plate and place it where it lifts from the ground. Enjoy rock solid rig :)
That's probably a very good idea!
I have the same set up as you and love it. I just ordered the csl load cell should be here in a couple weeks probably. Also my dd pro is the 5nm version but I think it’s enough for now I will eventually get the boost kit and same wheel as you the gt3 McLaren wheel.
Hello, is it really 60x80 cm ? In the description of the product says 90x90 or so. I mean when you put it in the corner.
Can confirm. I have the same thing I just wish the rig wasn’t as squeaky as it is at the base mounting.
The GT lite is great for a foldable rig. For people looking for a light, movable and solid rig, I recommend the Playseat Trophy.
Imagine a DD wheel and a cockpit being "beginner". I appreciate the effort and the production quality of the video, the bait - not so much.
Point taken and I agree with you. It is a fine margin to balance between bait and not bait and I am sorry that disappointed you. Honestly it can be pretty daunting of a task to dedicate a week or two to a 10 min piece of content that if the title is slightly off no one cares about. At the same time of the time is right and people watch it I am bound to upset some of you (understandably so)
At the end of the day I hope it was still somewhat helpful for you even if it wasn’t exactly what you were looking for
I'm going down the same upgrade path as you, except I went for the Wheel Stand 2.0., that wheel stand is built like a tank and feels as solid as a full blown rig even when just using a computer chair, really impressed with how solid it is. And, after 5 years on Logi pedals, the CSl Load Cells were a total game changer. Can't wait to finally get the DD too.
Exciting times :) Enjoy the journey!
With the McLaren wheel on racing games if you have your settings for the speedometer to mph will it show mph on the wheel or only kph
Glad you enjoyed it :)
And you attitude is the absolute right one! Don't let a random guy online make you feel less happy about the gear you already have :)
The equipment is very good, it is great,
But the lack of a dashboard would make the whole device soulless
SIMDID is the best dashboard I have ever used, I recommend you to take a look😀
Excelent video! This combo is perfect to start with DDs. I actually went for the regular F-GT, i didn't want to risk the stiffness of my rig
exactly what i did too 😉
it is great,
But the lack of a dashboard would make the whole device soulless
SIMDID is the best dashboard I have ever used, I recommend you to take a look:-D
hey whats up!! i cant configure all the buttoms on ACC, does it happen in all games or is just ACC? i cant make the display work either...
Man thank you so much for making this video. I had no idea what the difference was between the CSL and the GT. Now I know it won't matter in my application bc I only play on Xbox and plan on going to PC later. Definitely ordering this weekend. So sick of the G920 I have.
Happy to help :) Enjoy your new wheel!
This was really helpful🙂
Happy to help!
I can't wait for my wheel to get here. Thanks for letting me watch your content while I wait xD
Now I want some Chicky Chicky Parm Parm and I can't think of why 🤔😂
what should we get first ? load cell pedal or de 8nm power supply? great video !
Please did you have to buy PS5 buttons separately? Or how did you manage to get them? Thank you!
They came with the gt de pro wheel base
