Despite what people say, I do really like this adapter. Paired with vintage, concave lenses, it adds image width and a nice anamorphic 3D depth touch. Compact, light, and with a nice focus gear throw.
Sorry to hear about the support issues. I'd recently purchased this adapter as well to provide consistent squeeze on my Sirui Venus 1.6x T/2.9 lenses. Seems like mine is a fantastic version as well.
I have been enjoying the new version but it’s a shame they have had poor support. Also recently they used an image of mine for a commercial campaign without asking and didn’t pay or credit me.
Hello how are you! very good videos, thanks for the information about this filter... I have a question, can it be used in full frame with a 35mm without setting the camera to super 35?
By filter do you mean adapter? Yes the adapter can be used in full frame. I bought a 35mm full frame and added it on, I have some examples in the previous video I did on my channel about the adapter.
Great advice and some really informative points thanks a lot! I am looking to purchase a 24mm sony mount for my a7iv and can't work out what the difference between the standard, Saturn and Venus models are. Could you possibly elaborate for me please?
You might want to check if it is full frame or APS-C which is a smaller mount and if you put a APS-C on a full frame it won't give full coverage however you can still set the camera to APS-C to get it to cover which on the a74 would still look great. Is this what you meant?
Great Video and I come back to view again.. as I have... Samyang Cine mk2 Set of 24-35-50mm lens my question is.. I have a Canon R5c and I wanted to know if there is any Vignetting when used with 24mm Lens or Zoom 16-35mm
@@minutesback thank you.. i did just ask B&H Tech.. they said.. Sirui 1.25x Adapter will do great with 16-35mm and 24mm Lens but.. since you have the lens and Adapter... Take your time... if you can post a Video..that would help so many people looking into "Anamorphic Entry"
@tonysluna hey I did just check the adapter and it will work best from around 35 and up, if you use at 24 you will need to use clear image zoom on a Sony or zoom in post. The 11-16 I tried was unable. Although it will fit wider lenses it obscures the adapter obscuring gets heavier the wider you go. I think Sirui actually give guidance around what focal lengths to use which I think are around 35-150. As I mentioned you could get around 24 with a zoom. I hope they helps, I wouldn’t trust that person who said it would work 😇
@@minutesback... Thank You... I am still deciding If I should buy it. What do you think...? If you found... 35mm and above is great.. then.. it is good for me I kinda figured.. 24mm.. i would have to "Cut" the Vignetting Areas.. which would make it a 35mm anyways. lol
@@tonysluna maybe see if you can test it yourself on a 24mm by going into a shop to test to see what you think. However I wouldn’t personally use the adapter that wide due crop plus it’s only 1.25 X so effect is less that wide. Defo get more effect the more zoomed in you are.
Glad you have a better version!

Yes despite my ups and downs in purchasing it I do really like it and it's great to know I ended up with a great copy. It gives lovely results.

I’ll have to double check, generally the wider you go you will see some. I may get a check to later this week 👍

Does adapter only work on the lens made for full frame cameras?
Does matter whether full from or micro four third or APS C. Probably best between 24-135 ish range
At 7:52, was that shot wide open at 1.8?
Either 1.8 or 2 I believe. With the adapter I sometimes go up to 2.8 but depends on the lens I use.
It’s sad they ghosted you !!! Feel they could’ve handled it better 😊 but great video nevertheless ! Thanks for sharing your experience
no ty to sirui return policy is garbo
Yeah, I had various issues with them also but I do like their products.
