The first time I saw this in theaters, my jaw DROPPED when Skye lifted up the glass shard and that music played. It’s simple but it is SO well executed. Bravo to the filmmakers and Naomi Scott for her stellar performance here.
It all thanks to the stresses and pressure that everyone give to her, it's the thing that give the entity a way to grow until it could even do a multiple mimic at the same time.
I think Skye never conveyed this curse to the world in the end of this movie. if we see smile 3, the movie will continue with moris 100% , because skye turn in the freezer and because in the end we saw their mother alive while he killed her with a glass

Something like this is more similar to being fooled into thinking you're awake when you're actually dreaming. I've had nightmares that do that, and it's absolutely god awful.
For me, the most disturbing thing about the suicide scenes is the rigidity of the movements. There's no flinching, no recoiling from the damage, no change of expression at all. Just direct, robotic carnage with a smile.

To be fair, Joel was far more mentally resilient so the hallucinations might've been less intense and he still had full control of his mind and senses till day 6. Skye on the other hand was just too broken so the entity had more power over her already fractured mind.
I was supposed to jump in this part but instead I was amuse and I laughed so hard because the face of the smile went like 1 frame 🤣 (Idk how to describe it but its like the mom facial expression went to sad to happy smile in a instant that makes me laugh, I love scary stuffs anyways. )

I think the demon realized that she knew how to beat it, (the freeze to death and wake up) so it sped up the hallucinations to kill her faster. My theory is the second half of the film until the performance is a hallucination. And Joel lasted 6 days because he’s a cop and has fought through trauma before. Skye can’t handle that much
I love Naomi’s performance it was so good that I felt her pain and her experiencing these hallucinations from this entity she was very convincing throughout the whole movie brilliant job nay nay I hope she gets more recognition so she can get movie roles because she did her thang!! 🤩
I hope Naomi Scott will become a bigger actress after this film. I was really impressed with this film and her performance. She really is an underrated actress. This film makes me feel like it's a combination of The Shining and Requiem For A Dream. Never knowing what's real and what's not. I want to watch it again just to study it more. A masterpiece film.

I did a very Loud: “YOOOOO” in the theatres when I saw 1:17. I did not expect that to happen. I was literally terrified for her as if I was the one who did it. Smile 2 immediately beats the first smile.
When Skye thought she killed her mom and started slapping herself, I literally said “Girl, same. 🤣” cause at that point I would’ve did that demon’s job for it.
Which is kinda ironic if you think about it cause she's thinking it's a hallucination and it's not bringing her back after she slapped herself so she figured out it was real, then we find out that it really was a hallucination and it just wanted to torture her with one looooong hallucination until she killed herself. Brilliant.
