The fight was short, but even a demon as strong as Razaketh can't do much when he's got five planeswalkers hitting him from all angles. Here's hoping the fight wth Bolas has more to it. Keep up the good work Seiben!

Also, Ajani made a completely reasonable suggestion of getting backup prior to facing Bolas and the Gatewatch was like "nah, f that" -- clearly a setup for them to learn from their hubris.
Glad to see FNL is back. I agree the gatewatch seems to conquer too many enemies too easily. Although hopefully the foreshadowing the death of somebody results in some more realistic gatewatch goals.
I think the ease and simplicity of the fight was meant to contrast the fight with Bolas, where simple plans won't work and they no longer have the raw power advantage.
All the Gatewatch did this day was cut off a loose end Bolas would have otherwise had to deal with personally. I'm sure the dragon will be most grateful for their efforts.
So I have been so interested in lore and the demon lords of liliana, because it's like a fight night. This was like a turn three KO where the main baddie gets tag teamed. Brutal.
I personally enjoyed this battle, I agree that it could have been drawn out a bit more, but I feel fairly content...Lilliana's brutality was rather amazing and humorous.
One more to go Lilly! You got this! haha Yeah I agree it was underwhelming but the brutality of it (in my view) made up for it. It just shows how much rage is in Liliana and how she is constantly battling good and bad inside of her. Always has and always will be my favorite Magic character. Great video as always!
The actual fight wraps up far too quickly, but the build up was real. Crossing a river of blood, losing control of her most basic bodily movements, and the psychological humiliation inflicted upon her, Razaketh's torment was grueling to a degree we seldom see in MTG lore. Good article on the whole in my book. And looking forward to seeing how the Hour of Devastation plays out.
I hope the lackluster Liliana fight prior to the arrival of Bolas leads into something more climactic in the final battle, the death of a Gatewatch member. Gideon, maybe?
With the Gatewatch's defeat and Ajani gathering allies on other planes i would like to see them becoming desperate enough to attempt to recruit the captured Emrakul on Innistrad to fight Bolas wherever he may be next. I think that would be an awesome twist having the eldrazi be the good guys after all this time.
For the first time I'm actually really getting into the story of Magic and it has been super interesting! So here is some speculation for ya. Based on the cycle of plansewalker defeat cards that have been spoiled I am guessing that Bolas is stealing the Gatewatches sparks and then sending them off to random planes in the multiverse so somehow they will need to reignite them again. That seems super interesting to me adn could make for some real tension for the gang.
Was really looking forward to this demon fight, but yeah it was kind of just a side story that they dealt with easily. Hope the last one is much more epic!

I agree with you on the issue of the gatewatch resolving major conflicts way too fast. Still pissed about how easily they handled Ulamog and Kozilek.
