I chose the delta pro ultra for the following reasons. It does 240 volt while being charged off a nice quite 120 volt generator. It also has a lot more solar options. Mine is currently maxed out with 14 400 watt panels. I love how nicely to battery’s stack. And the inverter is huge with a massive surge capacity and completely silent.
They make quality products for sure. I have no doubt this will serve many people’s needs especially as a system. For stand alone it’s a little tough with the low input voltage. Can still do it but just need to watch voltage 👍🏼
That’s awesome to DC and AC charge But but the big one update would be to be able to use 240v while charging 120v That’s a big one in my book Thanks for another great video you do it clear direct and easy to understand and bring important points!😊
It's never going to happen, even with a firmware update because the AC charging takes away 1 of the 2 DC to AC inverters inside and revert it into an AC to DC inverter. A workaround would be to buy an AC to DC switching power supply rated for 60V 25A 1500W to charge into DC in order to be able to use the 240V. You'll probably suffer a high inefficiency loss though (maybe 30-35% loss), but at least that's an option for a workaround.
Your welcome. Yes it was kind of a bummer. Wish companies would ask what some of testers get for feed back and also what we have experience in. They make it so you have to buy the panels they have which is super expensive and just not even worth it.
Delta pro 3 as it has a 4000 watt hour battery verses 3800. Plus big discounts on DP3 right now and I also have an extra 7% off. EcoFlow is doing full prime day deals on the website till end of July. 2 Anker 3800 is best home backup deal right now 5198.00. You get 12k inverter output, 7.2k battery storage. Also with right solar panel combo you can get 4.8k pv.
I do not regret buying the Ecoflow Delta Pro. It’s gonna do the job that I need. BUT, that Anker would be great to have. I’ll be camping a lot with my Ecoflow DP and my Predator 2000 this year. I’ll see how it goes before I step up to the next level. Good info!
I Can tell all the work @johnnysweekends puts into this video. This channel based on effort alone should have at least 250,000 if not more subscribers!!! Thank you for your hard work and dedication @JohnnysWeekend.
I love Anker's products but 32v 10a and 60v 25a for solar is REALLY hard to do. Yes you can always overpanel amp wise but man that's rough. I thought staying under 150 -10% ... 135v was hard enough lol. I have 18x100 watt panels 6S3P on my delta pro and for 3 hours here in East Tennessee I get the full 1600 watts. I was hoping the solix was gonna have 2 inputs but those voltages are kinda crappy. ThankS for the video!
The 60v limit points to using a really cheap controller. If you see the 400 watt panel . The missing stand . You start to see where short cuts have been made . If you can see these obvious short cuts where else are they made ? Cheap internals ?
So I noticed you mentioned "back up mode". I'm looking for one of these for my reptile enclosure. So I'd like to leave the unit plugged into AC all the time then have the enclosure stuff plugged in, so in the event of a power outage, it will just power the enclosure. Is the backup mode something that specifically needs run through a switch panel or will it operate the same with just a few things plugged into the ac outlets?
I just subscribed to your channel, I am planning to get the anker solix, just want to ask fo your recommendation for the solar panel that will be used to charge it. and is it just plug and play? thank you so much.
Thank you. You can use what ever solar panels you want. But the problem is the low solar input can be difficult with some arrays so have to make sure you stay under the 60v limit for solar input
Just saw your video and subscribed. Do you know if this unit has EPS or UPS without without installing the smart home power kit? I mainly want to use it for when I am out of town and connect my fridge to it in case power goes out. Enjoyed your video.
Yessss!!. In the video where I explain the power outlets and how when switching from charging from AC you loose 240v function and only those few slots stay powered. Those are the EPS functions with a 20ms or less cutover. So you could do exactly that. Leave it plugged into power and plug fridge into it. Then it will bypass the power from the main unit to the fridge and if power goes out then the Anker automatically provides power to the fridge. If power comes back on Anker starts charging. 😀👍🏼
Do you use any of the DPU, DP, or Anker Solix to help supplement your Enphase 10s? Just curious if there's a work around that you use. I have an Enphase 10T as well.
Hello, im currently using the DPU to load shed. It has been running pretty much non stop after the video review and setup. I now am using two batteries. Now I dont have Enphase at my house only the shop and my father in law has them and his business partner. But you would need a separate critical loads panel to branch off. Im just using a 6 circuit to run my everyday higher use loads. Washing machine Blower for heat and AC Fridge and some outlets in kitchen, air fryer, coffee maker. All the garage And dishwasher. I also have grid tied solar as well with Enphase micro inverters. But being on NEM 2 I cant modify so ill be adding a DC section of solar to DPU soon. This will eventually allow me to expand as Ill over panel for now. And then a plug in hybrid will make its way soon as we will be due for a car. And most are driving is less than 25 miles a day. I dont recommend the smart home panel. So EcoFlow DPU on its own to load shed or back power or a server rack type setup.
Nice .... You are correct people keep comparing the pro ultra with Anker. All I can say is Eco flow need to sort out them self and update the pro so it can be more competitive. Also I keep reading comments about ecoflow customer support and it doesn't look so good I want to invest in one of these devices but based on what I am seeing I may have to go with Anker plus there units look better 😅. Don't get me wrong like ecoflow especially the portable AC unit that's why I was thinking about getting the ecoflow unit with the max 2 anyways good stuff I always look forward to your content. Blessings man
Interesting, yea I keep hearing a couple more problems with Ecoflow and customer service which I hope doesn’t become consistent. I know the face book group seems really responsive. But yea thanks for the feedback back. And yea before I finished this video I did some digging again on Anker and there customer support and they definitely seemed to be a little ahead of a couple others. Bluetti especially…. I keep hearing bad support from them which is a shame. No company is perfect but they have slipped a little, hopefully Ecoflow doesn’t follow as well. Thanks for the feedback back 💪🏼👍🏼😀
Great Vid! How can you tell what's in the updates, do they post it somewhere? I didn't know I could dual charge now, that's awesome! I have a 3800 with 1 additional battery for 7600w and run (2) 540w 48v panels for a backup power system. It does great! I can run anything on it including central AC unit.

Hello there! This machine has a cell capacity of 3840 Wh. On the manual they say: “AC output 1 is 13A Max and AC output 2 is 16A Max.” Please help! Does this mean I cannot use the entire 3840 watts from the same output? I am confused 😮 😅
You have 3840 watt hours of power. You have a total of 6000 watts from the inverter. If you draw 3840 watts in one hour the battery is dead. But no power station provides 100% of the battery as there is conversion loss from DC to AC
@@johnnysweekends thank you so much! I was worried that the AC output port allows only a maximum of 2000 watts for example… but now I understand from what you explained that I can plug it to my home system and use all 3840 watts (but definitely not going to use all the watts in one hour) thanks again!
I’d go with Anker, Ecoflow’s customer service absolutely sucks! They refuse to provide a box to return my Delta Pro so they don’t have to provide my warranty.
Interesting their customer service is normally pretty good. Did you try the face book page? You normally can get a response with in the first day or so? But thanks for letting me know I like feed back in these issues with companies. 👍🏼
