Hate this emperor, whilst I understand they had to have children/heirs to extend future generations this goes beyond that, he had so many concubines it was ridiculous, he had enough children and didn’t need more women to carry more. I understand also it was often for political reasons women were “ gifted” to him aswell but he was a filthy Emperor that would sleep with anyone and anything and didn’t deserve Ruyi. He lived a long and tortured life after she died regretting what he had done to her and I for one was very glad.
