It's funny how growing is so addictive. I went from two fruiting blocks a month ago just for s&g... now I have a whole room set aside for it. canner, sealer, flow hood... gallons of iso. My wife thinks I'm crazy... but she ate most of the last flush so it must be good crazy.

Im in the process of starting to fruit my shoe boxes and all i can say is that they look amazing so far. Everything that im spawning and all the substrate is all from your videos. You have made all this possible with your videos and i couldn't ask for things to go any better than they are. I would definitely recommend that if people are gonna try their hand at grow mushrooms, they need to follow your teaching and advice if they want to succeed. There are a couple good channels that i also like but your teaching about the mushrooms that i have the most interest in. You should make a video about growing Turkey Tail and Red reishi. I probably spelled that wrong. My plan was to make a calculated mix of the three plus and additional strain that im actually gonna start fruiting today. Its intended to help a few people, one with cancer, one with dementia and one with mental complications from never catching a break and just mentally being eroded away by people and family that she is always there for. Hopefully it all goes well. Looking forward to more of your videos and knowledge to succeed in trying to help a few people and maybe even eradicate some of their health issues.
I found and cloned my own hericium coralloides last fall and have been growing it on my own since then. Beautiful and delicious. Only thing we know to help prevent alzheimers and dementia

On one of your older vids, I see you using ketchup cups for agar. After you inoculated, it's clear that you did not use a parafilm sealer. How did you ensure sterility? Great vids, btw.
Ketchup cups is more along the lines of the "broke boi tek." The hope for his ketchup videos was that the hot agar/steam when pouring it would act similar to a flow hood in pushing contam away. If youre working in front of a flow hood like PGT the risk for contam goes down considerably.

Yes it’s easy but time consuming theirs vids on UA-cam but basically you have to soak it in a sterilized jar of water and honey or Karo syrup it’ll take 1-4 months tho depending on how far gone the mushroom is
If youre handy, it would be cheaper to build one yourself. There are plenty of guides on youtube for one. Buying one will cost you at least a couple hundred more. The cost of a good one is going to realistically cost almost double to be shipped to your door. If youre buying the materials from a store like home depot, they should cut all the wood for you if you ask (if you dont have tools). You just have to give them the correct measurements. Just remember to take into account the saw blade will make whatever measurement you need a bit smaller.

Can you potentially create multiple generations without having to return to making grain spawn from an agar or liquid culture? For example, use one bag of cultured sawdust to inoculate four, grow three bags of mushrooms, reserve one bag to inoculate the next generation, lather, rinse, repeat? Any real reason I couldn't grow indefinitely this way other than an increased risk of contamination?

currently got grain ready to be mixed and I am thinking of beech wood small chips and coir mix!
