    These videos are gold! Thank you so much! I’m thinking about get Sheraton flex. How many points do you think will be most beneficial for a family of five that would like to take a week vacation for about a week in August? I was considering getting 20700 or 44000. I’m leaning toward 20700 since it be less maintenance fees and we can use interval international getaways. Thanks 😊

    I saw DVC in our Interval account. Can I use my Interval getaways, too? We own at Westin Kaanapali Villas.

      You can certainly book getaways througt Interval International. That said, DVC resorts, rarely, if ever show up to book as a Getaway. The only way is to exchange in to DVC. That probably isn't a great way to use your Westin in Maui as that is a highly valued resort.

    What II membership level did you use with Interval? Do you exchange using Club Interval Gold that allows weeks-based owners to exchange their ownership for points or do you have a Gold or Platinum Account?

    • @DestinationTimeshare
      @DestinationTimeshare  Рік тому

      We have a weeks based account with Marriott Vacation Club and exchanged our week. We do have Platinum II membership, but all that does for us is save us on unit size upgrade fees.

    We've been looking to exchange for Saratoga for Feb 2023, but we're still looking. Do you know around when DVC members deposit into Interval?

    • @DestinationTimeshare
      @DestinationTimeshare  Рік тому

      Disney controls all of the deposits into II for DVC resorts. I think we are now starting to see deposits that are later than February, so you may have missed the time when they were depositing for February. Your best bet for an exchange it to place an ongoing search request, though you may be too late for that if you are inside 59 days of when you want to checkin.

    I own 150 DVC points at SSR and this year I traded into SSR with my BG instead of using my points. I used a 2 bedroom to get a 1 bedroom at SSR. I'm going to rent out my points instead and use the cash to pay for my exchanges. Like you said I can probably make around $2000 renting out my points thru a points broker. It costs me $650 in MF's to deposit to II, $300 in exchange fees and the $190 Disney cause we can fee which comes out to $1140. My $2000-$1140 leaves me $860. I still have 50 points left over to use on a short stay in Polynesian. It's cheaper than DVC if you want to stay in SSR or OKW if you count the ownership acquisition cost and not just the MFs. It cost me alot to buy into DVC so at least I get some of my money back renting my points.

    Good morning I’m checking into saratoga today for 7 nights through my Marriot and was charged 290$ this am any idea ?

    • @DestinationTimeshare
      @DestinationTimeshare  9 місяців тому

      Is the $290 what you see as a pending charge on your credit card? If so, this will also include a incidental hold.

    • @PackedandReadyFranco
      @PackedandReadyFranco 9 місяців тому

      @@DestinationTimeshare it’s pending yes for each of the three rooms so it’s 190 feet plus the hold ?

    • @DestinationTimeshare
      @DestinationTimeshare  9 місяців тому

      That is my understanding and also recollection from past stays. They will put a pending charge of $190 plus incidental hold which looks to be $100. When you checkout you will only be charged the $190 unless you make other purchases that you charge to your villa.

    Did you have to pay for parking at Disney with interval?

    • @DestinationTimeshare
      @DestinationTimeshare  Рік тому +1

      We had a car with us and did not pay for parking. Parking does not apply to DVC timeshare based stays. Only guests paying cash rates would need to pay for parking. The only fee that applied to our stay was the $190 fee I mention in the video. You pay that fee even if you don't have a vehicle with you. Thanks for watching!

      @@DestinationTimeshare We stayed at SSR last year as an II exchange. Booked it in April. Called a few week before we arrived and they could not confirm. Finally, a few days before I called and yes, but this is not desireable even when I had an exchange confirmation from II. Checking was terrible with a long wait. Then they could not find our reservation. Did not have the exchange confirm in hand so told them I'd be back with it. Never have I had to show as the resorts knew at the desk who I was and what my accommodations were. As walking out, a clerk yells, we found you! Turned out to be an intern. Anyway, she checked me in but I never signed anything and never gave my credit card. Week went well and when I went to checkout, I stated so to the desk and they took my cards and off I went. That was easy right? NOT.. later I get an email saying we're so glad you enjoyed your stay but please remit $190 dollars to us for your week stay. We "were NOT so glad... But since we never signed.. the payment is NOT in the mail! I read that RCI exchanges were billed the $190 on check in but through II exchanges not.. Wonder if DVC got the memo! I wouldn't even dream of paying a resort fee even at their Riviera resort. We toured and thought it was subpar to Marriot resorts... Sorry Disney.. you guys are out to squeeze the last drop out of any visit to you. Exchanges beware!

    The only one we stayed at was Old Key West and while we really enjoyed it we just prefer the international drive area better. Good video.

    I would definitely exchange for DVC because if your family wants to go to Disney you can't beat the early entry - it makes all the difference. However, I have not been lucky in finding DVC available - I tried Grand California and was flexible with dates but nothing was available all summer of 2022.

    • @DestinationTimeshare
      @DestinationTimeshare  2 роки тому

      Yeah, I don't think we would ever see Grand Cal available as an II exchange. It is perhaps the hardest resort for DVC owners to book, so it isn't going to make it into II for the rest of us. Thanks for watching!

    I'd love to trade into Aulani for a week.

    • @DestinationTimeshare
      @DestinationTimeshare  2 роки тому +1

      Yeah, that would be great, but I don''t know of anyone ever reporting a trade into Aulani. Basically DVC never deposits it, so the possibility isn't even really there to exchange into it. Perhaps this will change in the future, but I wouldn't expect it to. Thanks for watching.

      I can't help sell it, but I do have a video about it. Is it Disney Vacation Club? Video; ua-cam.com/video/nkb3wFxEnoU/v-deo.html
