- The JodyJazz JET is a bright saxophone mouthpiece with excellent projection, extra easy altissimo register and yet it has a very full bottom range that is easy to play. The JodyJazz JET Tenor Saxophone mouthpiece is free blowing, easy and fun to play mouthpiece that captures the full range of tonal qualities of the instrument. The JET has a clean, focused sound with strong projection and cut, while maintaining extraordinary versatility. The JodyJazz JET is excellent for Rock, Funk, Blues, Smooth Jazz and Latin Music, Reggae, Ska, Funk, Hip Hop, Top 40, Duranguense, Merengue, Salsa, Cumbia, Compa, Tejano, Musica Popular Brasileira, but at the same time we think that many Tenor sax players will be surprised at how well it plays lead Tenor in a big band or Jazz Combo. In other words the JET is a great saxophone mouthpiece that seems to appeal to a very broad variety of players.

Just played my second gig with the Jet 9 , a gig that is nothing short of Olympic, aerobic, insane, and this mouthpiece was smokin'. Thank you Jody Espina
NICE!! What reed and size would you recommend for this MP??
Thank you Rob, glad you’re enjoying the mouthpiece!
Any issues with such a large tip opening?

I used a Nexus 2.5 on mine. It worked great.

JodyJazz Inc. l like jazz and altissimo note, but I m an Haitian I play compa music
JodyJazz Inc. which one is better hr* and jet 7 for compa music
Clear focused power seems like a great addition to my big bell cannonball horn. Any thoughts on this combo vs a typical JJ HR mouthpiece?
The Jet will be more powerful and focussed as compared to the HR*
Olá ! No Saxofone Tenor Com a boquilha Jody Jazz JET 7* eu posso usar as palhetas Vandorem Java (box green) número 2 e 2,5 visando conseguir o mesmo resultado de som como demonstrado neste vídeo ???? No aguardo ! Abraço ! 🎷👊🏻👍🏻💪🏻🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷😊😊
No vídeo ele usa dois modelos de Rico Select Jazz, 3m e 3s, que são mais duras que as que vc usa. Contudo timbre também está relacionado com e embocadura, abertura da garganta, formação bucal e posição da língua.
I was usually play on 7 and 8 tip opening Vandoren hard rubber. Which tip opening do you recommend?
What is the tip opening of the JET mouthpiece Jody used in the video ?! Cheers from Brasil !!
Hi Jody, I play Legere Signature synthetic reeds and am wondering if they would work okay with the Jet??
Hey we have many customers using Legere on our JET and they work very well!
My reed seems to make it squeak. I don’t know. It’s a standard vandoren 3. Is there a specific type of reed that I need to use? Do I need to use jazz reeds?
I use java green 2 1/2 reeds or vandorean zz reeds
Yes you could try with size 2 or 2.5 reeds!
what kind of reed brand do you use for this setup?
What's the material of this mouthpiece?
Were the daddario select jazz reeds used in the video the filed or unfiled version?
I think they were unfiled, but I use both.
Number?
