  • @Tha2handedbandit

    did you wrap your own frame?

  • @commando8088
    @commando8088 8 років тому +1

    Hey, did you reinforce the frame first? If you did, did you do the whole frame, or just parts of it? Where I live, a frame wrap costs like 5k, and then like 3k more for hydros, it's fucked up lol, in cali the whole package is like 3k...

    • @Sixtaillights
      @Sixtaillights  8 років тому +1

      it is reinforced on the rear arches from the trailing arm mount to the rear body mount. it's also a Canadian frame, so the rear section is boxed. 3/16 plate. I only 3 wheel with it. no hopping, otherwise I would have done the front too.

      HDMat Ah ok, thanks man! I'm looking to get a '64 or '63 and then get some hydraulics for it. Isn't it tempting to hop it though aha? Also, did you reinforce it yourself or take it somewhere?

    • @Sixtaillights
      @Sixtaillights  8 років тому +1

      +commando8088 my buddy who is a metal fabricator cut them out and welded them in for me

    • @commando8088
      @commando8088 8 років тому +1

      HDMat Oh ok, I hate to be annoying, but I've wanted a '64 lowrider for years, finally saw one for 7900$ near me, it just needs paint/new seats and to add on the trim. How much did it cost you to install the hydro kit and the car itself? I assume your friend did the welding for a discount price. And nice car man, thats dope!

    • @Sixtaillights
      @Sixtaillights  7 років тому

      Doug-E- Phresh 8s & 10s. The rear springs were pre-cuts from BMH

      Sixtaillights 10s wow has good lift I would have thought 12s good job man love it I'm wrapping up a 64 frame reinforcement as we speak hope to be cruising soon!

    • @Sixtaillights
      @Sixtaillights  7 років тому +1

      Doug-E- Phresh yeah, no shocks to limit the rear, just gotta watch the lift so you don't over pressurize. I blew many a dump seal. Ha!
