Omg doing a marathon of your videos. I really love how much work you put into these. Appreciate all the local tours. Amazing story about your family history! 😄 I'm taking notes of all the places you went to, so my family can tour here next summer. I'm thinking of moving here!
Conroe is a great place to live. I grew up near here, but out in the country, country. We used to come to Conroe to the old Frontier Flea Market on weekends to buy guns and all sorts of cool things. I moved away in the mid 90s to serve in the military, and then to Austin to work in law enforcement. We moved back eleven years ago from Austin and love it! I wouldn't go back to Austin for almost anything.
I could, there are actually some good townhome options in Conroe, if you’d like to reach out to our team below I can send you a list of all your townhome options in the are
A townhome can be a wonderful option for we who don’t want a McMansion & crave a little bit of fenced-in yard, preferably w/ porches, sidewalks & multiuse paths to walk & bike the n’hoods and nearby shops. That’s what I’m looking to buy 😉
Kyler, thank you for your awesome videos! I grew up in Kingwood, and I’ve been living in DFW, and most recently, Colorado Springs since College. I’m moving back to the Piney Woods, and I’m targeting The Woodlands/ Conroe area. I’m interested in Grand Central Park, Harper’s Preserve and Artavia. Do you happen to have any information or videos on the Venetian Pines or Mavera neighborhoods?
Thanks for the comment, we don't currently have videos on Venetian Pines or Mavera. Our Grand Central Park video is an excellent resource. Click on this link to schedule a call with us and we can give you more info on Venetian Pines and Mavera. tinyurl.com/yc8hewcf
My wife and I will be retiring this coming September. We are currently living in Maryland. We visited the Houston area in 2021 but concentrated our driving in Katy, Tomball, Cypress, Humble areas. We plan on visiting again this coming July and plan on visiting the Conroe area.
@@livinginhtx I am actively looking at houses right now. Some of the houses I've seen are saying downpayment assistance ranging from 12k to 14k. What does this mean? Is that free money for us if we get our mortgage from them?
Also a 5th generation Conroe resident here. Conroe has several high schools. Only the 1 is named after the town. The schools alone have almost 100,000 students. 100000 is not the entire Conroe population.
My Wife and I are heading over this weekend to check this area out! Thank you for making this video!! We are expecting so having easy access to the hospital is wonderful news
I looking to relocate with my family somewhere in montgomery county. I liked conroe 1st but seems like now lots of people moving from CA and it's changing.
Hey Cindy, please reach out if there are any questions we can help to answer, we are happy to schedule a call, there are plenty of people moving from California but we have loved all of the ones we have worked with
Most of the traffic backs up coming from the woodlands and relieves once you hit the south loop entering Conroe on i45. The only other bad traffic is on 105 while the construction is taking place on the medians. Otherwise traffic isn’t bad. The loops don’t suffer from much traffic.
what about real estate taxes? i know they are very high in texas. could you do a video with examples of different houses and price points and what their monthly tax payment is?
If you haven’t already, be sure to check out this video. As far as taxes go, most tax rates in Houston are between 1.9%-3.8%. You just take the appraised value of the home and multiply it by the tax rate. Ex: $400,000 x .026 = $10,400 There may be a bit knocked off for homestead exemption when you claim as a primary resident. There are also some over 65 exemptions that help and military disability exemptions. Hope this helps! ua-cam.com/video/A2y6SEKYwJo/v-deo.html
@@livinginhtx in Colorado, the tax assessed value is much lower than the actual appraised or market value. So I'm not sure if in your example they would use the $400,000 × tax rate, or a lower value 🤔 😬
hello i am thinking of writing a novel that takes place in conroe texas, is there anything i should know about this place that would make my novel more realistic? i do acknowledge that its kind of dumb to make a novel take place somewhere you have never been (im canadian) but what im writing seems like it would fit perfectly here.
Conroe is near Livingston, Vidor, and Jasper. This is historically KluKluxKlan stronghold. All these municipalities are hostile towards minorities and poor. They are run by " good Ole boys" that you don't want to run into at night on a long country road if you know what I mean. Don't let the lake and hot properties fool you. KKK territory all day.
Well.. I'm no in the hurry but I'm thinking. Moving to Texas... probably the area of conroe... feel free to send me any information that could help me.. thanks
My fiancé and I are looking to relocate to Conroe from WP, FL and hopefully buy property in Tx. We found these apartments called Mille Miglia in Conroe, has anyone heard of them or know if this is a good area to live?
I actually just moved into that complex about a month ago its actually very beautiful and near everything and very safe since it's literally across the street from the police department
