Watching DJ throughout the season and if you know how to read mannerisms and gestures and the player eyes for as much as the television cameras let you, you should have noticed DJ's first line of attack was to learn and he did just that. With a little bit of luck on the injury listing and if coach can get a few more support players, this team has the chance of being like the 2008 and 2009 teams. For anyone reading this the team in 2009, might have been one of the best teams the Gators ever put together. 1996, 2006, 2008 & 2009
I always thought Spurrier's last team was the best that year until FSSCREW and Darnell Dockett purposefully popped Earnest Graham's knee out of the joint and we lost to Citrus U Tennessee in the hurricane delayed game by two points!! The Gators were loaded that year on both sides of the ball. In a playoff scenario they would have been Spurrier's 2nd NC. The AD didn't have Steve's back and he was NFL bound. Look them up. They were a POWERHOUSE! 2000 to 2001 I believe. 🦎🦎🦎💥💯🔥🔥
Gator Nation should have nothing but Respect for the Manning Family. I remember my first game in the Swamp ever UF 62 UT 37. I also remember stinging losses to Eli and Ole Miss
Lagway has been getting the lions share of talking heads time recently so he's at least has the eyes of CFB on him and that's what propels a player to New York. I can see Lagway in New York in 2025 losing to someone else but his return in 2026 will win it for him.
He probably deserves to be mentioned, but whether he has a legitimate shot comes down to how well the team does, especially in the win/loss department!
Obviously Lagway's success (or failure) will be directly connected to Billy Napier. Like Tebow's was to Urban Meyer, or like Danny was to Steve Spurrier. Ultimately, the '25 season will make or break Billy's time at UF.
Hi Ali....Lagway COULD be a legit Heisman candidate, but will Napier's scheme & play calling get him there? Shane Matthews says that if Lagway has to throw 25-30+ times a game it'll be bc we are behind. But with a generational talent like DJ, why would you NOT be throwing the ball 25+ times EVERY game bc of how he can place it! Lagways Heisman campaign will need to see him throwing more than 20 times a game for 190-215 yards, 1 or 2 td's! Good stats but not Heisman worthy. And Billy needs to get him BIG, TALL targets from the portal. Thus far, that isn't happening. I'd prefer Lagway be able to truly display his talents. Not sure if Billy's offense will allow that, but DJ could still win the Heisman with wins & solid olay!
Unfortunately, Lagway won’t have the numbers to win the Heisman. Napier’s offense doesn’t lend itself to big stats for QB’s. Lagway is no doubt a great player and leader but he’s in a very conservative offense that is centered around the run game.
Way to early,BN has got to get him some help n keep him healthy.Since it's Heisman talk the greatest screwing of all time was Rexy not winning his sophomore yr.Due to no sophomore ever winning one so they gave it to 27 yr old ex minor leaguer weinke
Zero chance Lagway wins the Heisman unless Florida LITERALLY runs the table, 12-0 next year. That isn't happening and Lagway won't be a serious candidate until his junior/senior year.
This is the first video You have put out, that I thought was an extreme waste of time...The Heisman? Who the Hell Cares. Does anyone really pay attn to this Anymore...
UF is so lucky the recruitment of Jaden Rashada was screwed up. He has turned into a portal queen who is all about himself.
So he's transferring from Georgia, too?
With all of the portal drama, I'll admit I got scared when I saw your episode title. Whew..
Me too!!😂
Same bro I about had a split second heartattack when I first glanced at the vid
@@whiteshadow2375 Me too. She has had a few scary trick titles like this. I think she is doing it on purpose. She’s trying to kill someone.
He was a 5 star when he committed, great vid!

Everyone who watched the gators in the last 3 games could see Lagway is indeed special.
Imagine what he could have done if he had two healthy legs.
All I know is Wide Receivers and Tight ends are lining up to play with Lagway at Florida.
Lagway#2 wins back to back Heisman trophies! I'll be the first to say it! Go Gators!
From your mouth to His ears….
Everyone needs to listen to the Stadium and Gale interview with Lagway’s mother. Such a wonderful family! Entirely in it for the right reasons
I believe if he stays healthy I have no doubt we will have a 4th Heisman Statue outside The Swamp. Go Gators! 🐊
Idk he gotta get better first. Still bad footworks and he do throw a lot of ints. I do love DJ tho
If he gets a OC he could definitely win the Heisma but I don’t see him winning it with Napier’s middle school playcalling
The Heisman goes to the player that means more to their team than anyone else, so of course he should be a candidate. I just hope he stays healthy.
Didn't Tim Tebow win, in his sophomore year?
Gator Nation should have nothing but Respect for the Manning Family. I remember my first game in the Swamp ever UF 62 UT 37. I also remember stinging losses to Eli and Ole Miss
You sleep ali, Dallas Wilson is coming home 🐊🐊🐊

Dj belongs in the conversation. I’m not sure who else is in the mix.
The only question that i have is. How did it surprise you? Lagway us THAT DUDE! GO GATORS
Napier needs to pick up Trevor Woods as well as that #41 from Colorado for the defense!!! Both of them are machines!!!
Okay, but, seriously, what about the 2026 Heisman? 😊 Just kidding. I love these early predictions. Save the receipts!
Bro gives me the same vibes as tebow as in talent wise its been awhil we had someone thiiis good and ik trask is good but not this good

If hunter can win 1 dj gonna get 2 Heisman trophies

No ali DJ didn't get knocked out of the ga game he hurt his hamstring he didn't get hit
Rather have a Natty than a Heisman. But he definitely has the talent to earn a Heisman.

Jim Knowles is my choice for Defense.

Is the best QB in the nation get it right lol

LOL...stop the cap. Lagway is not winning anything except a medioclre bowl going 6-6 or 7-5 in 2025. Just stop the nonsense.
As Saban would say, this is rat poison talk, and yeah, way too early. Could a Napier offense facilitate a heisman Q
Got nothing but respect for Lagway but Billy Napier sucks and can't coach for shit
^
Phil Parker is another choice.
