Conan created this professional image of being a bit of a bully to his employees and has always played up the humor of that (and we all loved it!), but to hear Sona sincerely talk about what a great boss he is was really nice! Yeah I think there was a general understanding between the audience and the crew that it was for show c: Conan bringing the vast majority of his crew when he moved to TBS is the mark of someone who really respects his employees
That's part of Conan's legacy. It's the fact that some people have stuck with him from the very beginning, and that so many others have stuck with him for 25+ years. There has to be a good reason for that, and it likely has to do with Conan being a genuinely good person and boss.
It’s because he’s stripped away people’s opportunities and made them work for him forever. Of course I’m joking as plenty of talented people who worked at Conan’s show became hugely successful later on.
Especially in show business. I work for people only. I've left my job several times due to my upper management and went through the thick and thin with what I like. I quit my job as an assistant manager due to this. She was horrible. I was like Sona.
