I've had both with Multi-reticle and solar panel since November 2022. Great optics. Funny how people complain about enclosed pistol optics but have been using enclosed rifle optics forever.
If you really look back in the early 2000s pistol optics already existed. The ACRO enclosed optic shape was already made by the Germans and not just that they also made the 509/Romeo m17. All of these innovations are just grabbing crap from the blast with modern materials.
I think they still can have issues, since they are riding on a slide and so violently reciprocating, it harder to hold the seal. Then they fog inside. It’s happened to every brand. The open reflex sights don’t have that problem (tho they have their own with temp/humidity swings). Point is, much less failure on a rifle compared to a pistol (for enclosed sights).
I just subbed from the intro alone ! I run an EPS Multi reticle an a Canik Mete SF. It sits so low the stock irons lower quarter cowitness. Best EDC dot on the market
I understand that some people hate the "Made In China" ordeal, and me too, but until American companies can do better, Holosun is the golden standard right now.
Just put the EPS carry MRS on my AREX Delta X Tactical yesterday, looks great, and even fits better, looks like it was custom made for the Delta, 1/4-1/3 cowitness with the supressor hight sights, very happy with Holosun products, nice review.
You had me at the intro. Do you need shorter screws if you direct mount it to the XMacro? I’m saving to get one for mine. I carry every day and am new to red dots so I definitely appreciated the review
I saw another video where someone had the stock eps carry screws shear off direct mounted to the xmacro. Apparently it's an issue enough that a company has created specific screws for the eps carry and xmacro - I just ordered a set for my xmacro (eps carry has been ordered so haven't installed yet). A place called QVO Tactical carries the screws.
if you were going to get an EPS carry (with no budget) would you get the basic one you showed in the video or would you just go get the top end MRS version?
Edc is the carry and only thing i sont like about it is the glare when the brightness is up. I keep it about 3 clicks lower than max setting and it works good
I’ve heard a lot of reliability issues with them. People dropping them or getting rained on from walking to the car and water getting inside. What’s the real world reliability like compared to a 507k?
Home defense is at best 15/20 yards for a very large house so a 6 moa would be my choice due to how quick and easy it is to pick up compared to the two
6moa will be faster to pick up and 2moa will be more precise. Honestly it will come down to personal preference. Everyone's eyes are different and different astigmatisms can also affect which dot to go with.
Putting a red dot on a serious handgun is bad idea....just an extension of the laser fad that died years ago and just as stupid. Unless you like dealing with dead batteries, failed electronics, point of aim shifts, bad weather issues, and hard to see unless perfectly lined up with the eye. A simple front tritium post works just as well and doesn't have these issues.....the difference between a serious handgun and wanna-be commandos......
@@chadhaire1711 you clearly don’t get what you’re talking about, that’s why it’s hilarious. The red dot gives you a single point to look at, making it unnecessary to line up your front and rear iron sight, making you quicker to acquire your target. It allows you to focus on your threat. It allows you to more easily shoot with both eyes open and see the rest of our surroundings. It gives you another point on which you could rack your slide in the event that you have an injury or inability. Essentially RDS benefits are ease of use, improved accuracy, faster acquisition of your target, greater field of view, and improved ability in low-light situations. Nearly every drawback you allege is overcome by some design with many red dots…most of them now have solar capacity, and a handful don’t even need batteries to be changed at all since they’re totally solar powered. There are pretty significant improvements, and the entire gun industry knows it, which is why they’re all making optics-ready slides. Just because you don’t get it or you don’t care for it doesn’t mean it’s a fad, stupid, or useless…it just means you don’t get it -THAT’S it.

Alright. This might be the most unexpected and creative intro I’ve seen in the gun community. Immediate sub
Love the intro and very thorough review. Nice job. I like the EPS better than the 507 for the clear glass and ease to clean.
Thank you for the review! I love Holosun optics.

i use a can of compressed air every few days to clean out my 507's. q tips occasionally as they get dirty.

How does the smaller viewing glass of the EPS Carry compare to the EPS in terms of finding the dot and staying on it?
Brilliant intro😂👌

I used the ones that came in the box. 300 rounds and not issues. I do double check to make sure the screws haven’t backed out etc.
Great no-nonsense review. Subbed.
Thank you for the content. The Holosun K footprint seems pretty useful.
Would a EPS Carry work with a CZ P10C size wise?
Great intro, loved it. I also finally got mine early May. Both EPS and EPS Carry in Green MRS. Well worth the money and investment.
certainly like that a lot more than the Acro Mailbox
Great review, and I'm thinking a Green 6 MOA for me, but I wish it was solarized...... Thanks and Blessings!

Did you have to get different screws for the eps carry to attach it for the xmacro or did the screws work it came with?
Great video man, really got me leaning to eps carry. THanks
Great video Dean, And thanks for your service buddy i love the Blue!!!!!!
Absolute tv set had me dying 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭
so if something is milled for 507k/rmsc shield footprint then this will fit directly to the slide. correct?
Yes. My FNS 9C was milled and it fit perfectly.
Question, which would you place on a pdp compact (carry gun)? Only asking because I would have thought EPS carry.
We would recommend the standard EPS for the PDP. The EPS Carry is more suitable for the slimline guns such as the 365, 43X, Hellcat, etc.

Question, for a home defense/range gun, which moa would you go with for the EPS fullsize, 2 or 6?

Just put a green 6 moa eps carry on the 43x shoot bud it's nice!
Omg your intro had me 😂
Cnh precision makes plates for the 509t
This video gets a thumbs up just for the intro lmao
Awesome intro lol
If it requires an adapter plate then it's not direct mount.
The Holosun K footprint is odd.

The Acro is hideous looking.

A little bit longer and that light could be used as a baton
