Great video Henry! Just with the doctor ordered. I knew I've seen this feature before but it didn't realize it was only starting in 2024. I guess I have to upgrade I'm still on 21 cuz I love that feature. Thx
As always, great teaching my friend. I heartily thank you for showing us this new way to edit our production within BIAB. Fantastic tutorial. Merci beaucoup Henry.
I find one of the hardest things to do is jump ahead in your product knowledge. So many people get tripped up because they try to start at an intermediate level and end up frustrated because they did not understand some of the implications of their actions.
I have followed your videos in BIB for some time now and I just want to say that I find your tutorials very helpful. You have opened my eyes for a lot of features in the program. Thanks a lot! Regards from Norway
Another wonderful tutorial Henry using a great song. You gave some great ideas for bringing in instruments and vocals which I hadn’t thought of. I’m delighted I upgraded to BIAB 2024 too..
Thank you so much, Henry. Very Instructive. I'm looking for other ways to meticulously alter a measure. Say for example, I'd like to insert a specific strumming rhythm for my rhthmic guitar is that possible on BIAB or do I need another tool.
If I understand your question you can demo realtracks and use "Partial Track Regeneration" where you can set that exact bar and audition to see if you find something you like.
Excellent videos. I learn a lot from you as a fellow senior. My last version of BIAB is 2022. Are there enough new features to warrant upgrading to version 2024?
Hi. Upgrading is always a personal choice and should be based on how you use the product. For example are you the type to explore ChatGPT, Do you need expanded features in Bar Settings, is Track Regeneration a feature that you would use? It's not necessarily a matter of how many new features make it worth upgrading up not but are there a couple of features that would really benefit your workflow and the type of music you produce? I know I didn't fully answer your question but I do think that upgrading is an individual choice that only you can make.
Thank you this is a great help! Question- What if the style I pick doesn’t have a certain instrument in it that I want to add? I mean, say I find a style that’s perfect for the song I’m building, but don’t like the piano and want to change it to an organ instead. Can I do that? And can you tell me how, or put a link to a video that explains how to accomplish that? Again, thank you so much for your instructional videos, as a new user, I have already learned so much from them! Blessings!
You can easily do this. Try this video starting from around 5:30. I do this with Utility tracks and though the tutorial is from 2021 the lesson is still valid and even improved over later versions. Hope this helps. If still confusing write me and let me know.
@@henryclarke5407Do you have a link to the 2021 video you’re referring to? I watched this video all the way through and at the end you said you can change the instruments but didn’t show how. So I’m guessing you had another video from 2021 that shows it? Thank you again for responding, and I did learn a lot from this video!
Really enjoy your videos. Thanks for the help. QUESTION - Just upgraded to 2024 but have an issue. When I try to regenerate a section (a few bars), BIAB just erases that instrument in the highlighted section but does not replace it?? I have to highlight the entire song to regenerate a few bars which ruins the rest of the work you've done with that instrument. How do we fix this? Is there a work-a-round until PGM releases a new patch?
Hi. What happens is that the effects of the bar settings will affect the stem. In other words if you muted certain instruments when you transfer the tracks the mute will still be in effect.
A lot of guys try to decide whether to upgrade based on features they think they will use. Also a lot of seniors are on fixed incomes so they may not be able to justify the extra expense.
@@henryclarke5407 Thank you so much for your feedback! This makes total sense. Thank you thank you and your videos are very helpful. Thanks for spending the time to make them and helping others with BITB.

Yes. It's a nice feature update.
Two weeks in, I had not learned how to use the utility tracks yet. I just used them now. Thanks!
Cool. Glad it helped !

That sounds like a bug - maybe contact support?
Thanks Henry. One question. If you still want to save out tracks for DAW, what happens?

I've been a loyal BIB user for several years - do you guys mind me asking why you were thinking of holding back from 2024?
