This is one of those details that you secretly hope stays under the radar so that the fewest number of people possible are doing this to you. Great video :)
Always I have a problem with side control escaping, I watched tons of technic how to do it, nothing help me, hopefully this one will be helpful for me. The matter of ELBOW.. Let's see
How do you get this frame in place in a real scenario? I feel like it would be hard to set up without the elbow slipping and getting caught in head & arm choke. By the way, I highly appreciate videos about these small details. Lots of videos just go into the escape, but they won't work without these frames and concepts.
You can actually push the elbow through easier for an arm triangle or just to get your partners arms at or over their head for better side control, once your partners arm extends past 90 degrees. It is a timing thing, so play around with it a little bit. You have to be very aggressive with the palm strike to back of tricep right below the elbow.
My instructor taught us this and then taught us how to wrist lock sloppy side control frames straight after. Needless to say, the entire club has good frames now like shown in the video.
An excellent point and we'll made, subbed. Any tips on how to establish the frame? I know that can be a difficult question to address but any thoughts to share?
you have instructors that are good and instructors who shouldn't be teaching jj. I've seen my fair share of jj video's on the internet over the years and based on my personal experience with jj, i can tell you there are some instructors on the internet that makes you wonder if they're legit, because their teching techniques are bad.
If it work I will subscribe, and delete all my 50 Jiu jitsu chanells... I think it will not work for me, easy to get triangle choke.. The head of opponent exactly on point of elbow and easy just slip to armpit and chock me out.

Bignumberz hahaha...facts.
This is awesome detail on the hand and forearm placement. Definitely much more effective when you can grip the gi with hand at shoulder.
I've said it before, but you're an excellent teacher. Explaining why something works is far more valuable than simply showing the technique.
Thank you so much! That's always my philosophy, teach you to fish rather than just hand it to you 😀
Such a small detail for a huge advantage. Awesome video! Oss.
Thanks will, those are the kind of details I like to focus on! 😃
I love your vids. Such amazing details and they have really helped my game!
thankyou!
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Excellent concept details. Soon as am back from injury I'll be trying this. Thank you.
Makes perfect sense! Thank you. I've always had issues with this and wondered why it was called framing when I felt like I was using muscle there?

Appreciate this detail! Do you recommend any rolling escapes that involve rolling your partner over you and then ending up on top?
Great vid!! Thank you!
Thanks. These are the things that matter when escaping.

That looks dangerous. I would easily pass my head and press against the triceps. Then the arm is stuck. That is how I "gift wrap"
Nope
This only works if you have arms.
Elbow. Not wrist. Thank you
For me, this is the most important aspect of side escapes
don't frame. push
Nice men it's simple
You are giving a big gap to grab your arm in armbar....
Invisible Jiu Jitsu come to abu Dhabi and I will show you how .....
