My experience with this mattress over the last month is completely contrary to this assessment, Nolah's description and all the reviews. My take on it is the manufacturer's description as their mattress being a 5/10 in firmness is grossly inaccurate. I found it to be hard as a brick, with very little give. I would rate its firmness as an 8 or 9 out of 10 and nowhere near a medium, let alone a medium-soft. Even after 30+ days it still hadn't hardly broken in at all. The fact this mattress gets great reviews, but especially for side sleepers truly surprises me, because the mattress is horrible to me for side sleeping. As someone with back, hip and and shoulder issues from years of vigorous outdoor activity and sports injuries, I woke in pain from sleeping on it, because it gave so little when sleeping on my side, enough so I moved around a lot while sleeping because my body was adjusting to the pressure. It threw off the alignment of my back and hips something awful and caused me neck issues that triggered migraines. Perhaps I got a lemon, I don't know, but for a $1200 mattress it was a colossal disappointment and will be returned shortly. I'd encourage people to beware. In doing digging, I've found enough people that have reported similar issues as mind that suggest these reviews aren't all they're cracked up to be, or Nolah has some significant QC issues in their foam production consistency that creates wide variability in the real firmness and density of the layers of the mattress.
They charge $100 to take a return on their mattress for handling. I followed your advice and the Luxury Firm was too firm. So we will see. I got the Sig 15 two months ago and find it too hard for a strict side sleeper-zero sinkage and zero cushioning feeling. They recommended trying their topper which I will have in a week and see if that does it. It is cool to sleep on and I am a hot sleeper.
Just got one but it's crazy firm. A 2" topper hardly helps. We tried saatva and puffy and they were all too firm. Does anyone make an all foam soft mattress?
