    A childhood favorite of mine :) Only problem as a Finnish kid was that I couldn't read English text. So when it came to the trivia questions, I just tried every answer and then memorized the right ones. Other than that small obstacle, I enjoyed this game growing up. I liked the variety of gameplay in it that it had platforming, racing and action in space in one game.

    Thanks for not having a long intro and getting down to business. I grew up with this game too. Wish they would give it a brush up like the Disney Afternoon pack

    It's a fun little game. I'm pretty sure they had more planned since the _It's a Small World_ ride has an open doorway that you cannot enter. I wouldn't be surprised if this one ran into issues with a deadline. It's also interesting that the main character seems to be modeled after Tom Sawyer, yet the riverboat ride isn't a level either.

    I heard from another YTer that konami ripped off capcoms magic kingdom with tiny toon adventures 2. But I don't think the levels from each game are the same. But 1 thing they do have in common is that their both friggin hard!
    I can't complete a single stage! LOL

    I loved playing this game as a kid. I actually liked how the layout of the park matches up to The Magic Kingdom in Florida. I grew up near there and it always made me want to go to the park.

    One of my favorite games as a kid. I remember I used to rent this game all the time along with Battletoads... You can imagine that I faired better with this game! Not the most challenging game in the CAPCOM/Disney library, but it is often over looked. I actually did a lets play on my channel and man did it bring back memories!

    Never played it, but I'll never forget Space Mountain. I went to Disney in Florida once myself but as a teenager and the ride broke down and stopped in the middle. Was stuck inside, in the dark, with only stars to look at for about half an hour. It was cool at first because I could take the time to see all the detail they put into everything but after the first 5 minutes it got boring really quick.

    What's confusing is that while it's called Adventures in the Magic Kingdom and has the Cinderella castle on the cover, clearly indicating that the game takes place at WDW in Florida, the race car section is called Autopia, which is a Disneyland attraction, instead of Tomorrowland Speedway. Also, the castle in the back of the park map is supposed to be It's a Small World, and this is definitely the Disneyland version.

    • @Cannotbetamed1
      @Cannotbetamed1  7 років тому

      Interesting. I've only been to DisneyWorld (a looong time ago), but there were some things in this game that didn't seem to be from there.

    I remember playing this as a kid in daycare. I just got back from visiting the Magic Kingdom and it brought memories of this game. I will say that it took me forever to remember the title this game. This was one my most influential games growing up because of because of various genres that I was exposed to! Not perfect by any stretch but it did open the door for me to enjoy games like Sonic, Kirby or Star Fox in future. Thanks for the review!

    I missed out on this one. Seeing it was a Disney game, I would have walked right past it in my local Blockbuster or Hollywood Video. I'd assume it was a kids game. I missed out on a lot of good games like that. Shame really. The Pirates part reminds me a bit of Ghosts & Goblins. It looks fun.

    I got on Space Mountain just once (in real life, at Disneyland in California) and I got so motion sick that it ruined the rest of the day at Disneyland. Though other rides (such as Star Tours) didn't help matters. I loved this game as a kid. I'd probably still love it if I played it again.

    All Disney games developed by Capcom were easy. However, one I found challenged was Chip n Dale 2, it was also one of the later NES games that were released in 1994 in Sweden. Reason for that was Bergsala AB who distributed a certain NES games they allowed in Scandinavia, they were ran by Nintendo. They were also the only part of the world outside of Japan that got Mr. Gimmick! for NES that is to this day the most expensive video game ever.
    My favourite Disney game on the NES was not Adventures in the Magic Kingdom, it was either Darkwing Duck or Duck Tales 2. But I have very good memories by Tale Spin. It was my very first Disney game I played, I found it a little bit difficult at first try, but it went smoother the more you learned the gameplay mechanics. Bonus stages hidden in the stages did the same in Darkwing Duck.

    • @Cannotbetamed1
      @Cannotbetamed1  8 років тому

      I feel like Darkwing Duck was harder than most of the other Capcom Disney games.

    • @TheGoldenPS1
      @TheGoldenPS1 8 років тому

      +Cannot be tamed When I think of it, the stages in the first three were quite a challenge (at least the town and the sewer) and the difficulty became more clear with the last three stages. With Quacker Jack being the easiest boss of the first three with the easiest stage the next boss that was easy had a hard stage (Megavolt). Not to mention the last stage and the last boss.
      But Chip n Dale 2 is still challenging at the end with Clock Tower and Wild West (including the bosses).

    2:16 Looks like Capcom recycled a level from Ghosts 'n Goblins.
    3:07 Level copied from / inspired by Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (Arcade).
    3:23 Bump 'n Jump...?
    4:04 Final level from Michael Jackson's Moonwalker for Genesis?!?
    4:52 Come on, definitely Ghosts 'n Goblins...!

    • @Phantom.Gaming64
      @Phantom.Gaming64 2 роки тому

      Same. It was scary to me, but at the same time I thought it was a cool stage. One thing that seriously made me uncomfortable was something I discovered by accident. If you jumped into the Master Spectre(boss of the level) that flies above you as when level begins, you will get an alternate "try again" screen where the Master Spectre stares at you while saying "try again".

    I'm always impressed when games try to do many things, and then do them well. In my experience, games that try to serve too many masters end up messing up one or more of them. But it sounds like this one doesn't, despite its short length. Looks like it could have been fun, sadly another I missed growing up with the NES. I was a little surprised by how much your character sprite does play a bit of a resemblance to Woody from Toy Story. Having never visited a Disney park, this would have been as close as I'd have gotten....the lines would have driven me mad otherwise.

    This game was very hit or miss with its levels. I can never beat the Thunder Mountain level without cheating. I was probably best at the platforming levels, and I do love the music in this game, especially the Pirate level.
    I might cover this one at some point, when I attempt a Disney/Capcom series of games.

      IronTorch20 Somehow, despite not having played this game in many years, I managed to one-shot Thunder Mountain. I thought I'd end up in a dead end for sure, but it seems my memory is either better than I think, or I'm just lukcy.
