    This is so valuable for solea. When you do the palmas for a subida and it speeds up do you keep the accents - it seems like when it gets really fast and you might not hear the accents but maybe you're also keeping it with your foot? I'm asking about the palmas not the dancer. Also how do you do palmas for the close. Also another quesiton - when you speed up the tempo (as a dancer) and you're doing another section of escobilla do you keep up at that faster tempo? I think I've seen where they keep it fast but start really quiet and build from there again. I'll look at videos... thank you!

      Hi Audrey, thanks for your comment ;-)
      - After a point the become very loud and "lisas", means flat, with no accent, but as you said, the foot of the palmer@s is very important there to keep track of the compás.
      - Palmas for the closing depend on the type of compás. But no strict rule, as always ;-). In a 12 beats "soleá type" compás, it will probably end on 10...
      - So many possibilities after a subida. If you don't close it (cierre) so yes, you are supposed to continue in the new tempo you just reached. Otherwise what was the point of speeding up, right? ;-)
      - If you close it, you can do whatever you want after it.
