Massive clickbait, i've posted the link a few times now all in different forms so as it doesn't get flagged and each time it gets removed. All i can think is Brian doesn't want the link releasing until his video meets a certain amount of views, which to me is unethical. You've made and published a video, showcased a script which you know people would be interested in only to gate it behind what i can only describe as view based
@@grimyworm6630 I did the same thing, and it was removed. It could be that Brian has changed his mind about how safe the link is, as one of the top trust sites has advised against downloading it, due to "suspicious activity".

I have had repeat success with network and print troubleshooters. The Print Troubleshooter loved to make my printer the default printer, which did solve my problem. My printer is 10 y/o Canon.
How can I automatically trigger Update?
I want to create a scheduled task because a lesser-used computer of mine always gets very busy every time I go to use it.
The last time I encountered a windows update problem, I tried all the usual suspects of which you show, but to no avail. Restarting the machine did the trick. 👍👍👍
your restarting the machine made me do a lot of thinking... And how to reply to what may have occurred when you did the "restart"... If you are familiar with what Fast Boot is... And how it can create problems for machines over time, running the scripting tool to reset everything may not clear what is truly the problem, restarting the machine meaning Windows 10 and 11 "resets the kernel"... Versus shutting the machine down, which does Not reset the kernel...Un-Less you disable fast boot. Running those scripts will not reset the kernel, or bypass the little mini hibernation file that's created to make the fast boot function work, personally I feel fast boot had good intentions as a concept for mechanical hard drives but in practice... It creates problems for machines ever since I started disabling fast boot on the customer's machines... It has affected my income level. 🙂 Not hearing too many calls about update problems. I think even Brian discussed fast boot and what was used for and how on machines that have solid-state drives, you're not saving any noticeable boot time. Anyways, there are some things to think about and what I just said, and lots to learn about side effects using fast boot. Thanks for your comment. It made me do some reflection on your statements. 🙂
Great reply - Thanx. I've have never deployed fast boot or hibernation etc. Last week was the 1st in yrs. I ever had an update pblm. Maybe the temp caches needed clearing? I suspect it was a "quality preview".@@lonndawg7554

What are your views on Windows AppLocker using group policy editor available in Windows 10 Pro and Windows 11 Pro versions to enhance PC security against malware? I already have User Account Control set to Maximum and use computer as a standard user, not as an administrator. Should I also learn and use AppLocker to secure my PC against Malware? Do you also use it? How often do experts use it?

Hello, I am not sure what exactly helped to solve my Update Issue, but it worked, after following all the steps.
I had tried to solve it by typing in all the comands manuell earlier, but it couldn't solve the issue.
Thank you for this Video, instructions and the scrippt, it made it so much easier for people who are not familiar to this.

Hey Brian... Great video, and thank you for reminding us about these reset scripting tools... But you mentioned in the video to go to your website to get the complete script. I didn't see it there, I saw the individual manual scripts, I have seen this reset tool that you demonstrated in the video and I think that's what most of us would want to have a link to, rather than the individual files. So if it's possible to point us where that download is. I think that would be really helpful.

Can you do a Video on the Bios not letting you do feature updates this ver interesting took me a few hours to figure out no mater what it would not do a 1703 of win 10 update because it need 1709 or 1803 update because of Bios support this was my issue in 2017

well Britech how do you fix feature updates not installing if your BIOS only supports that feature update your installing so your one feature update behind of what your BIOS supports I had this happen to me HUM ASUS I had to format my C drive then do a clean install with that feature Build with the media creation tool that's the way I had to no scripts or anything else will fix that certain Issue this is why I only Do clean installs works well and fix's any other issues too

I have NEVER had Windows Troubleshooting fix ANY issue I ever used it for. Worthless waste of time.
That’s probably why they’re getting rid of them in a future update.

I see complaints looking for the batch file. Simple fix is go-to WU Reset website problem solved 👍

We had a laptop that would lose connection to the WiFi network and the network troubleshooter usually would fix the problem.

Easy to find.. its on GitHub.. like everything else I wouldn't run it until I've reviewed it then copied the plain text out of it into a different file to be safe, some of us don't need hand holding.... ..where others aren't used to life without it...

"Do This To Fix Any Windows Update Problem" gave me the impression that, at last, I had found a way to solve the problems I've been having with my W8.1 updates since last year.....but.....it seems this is only compatible or related to W10 or 11???
If anyone here could confirm as to whether I should try this out on my computer, I'd greatly appreciate it.
