Fun fact. France is the country which fields more teams/clubs in GAA than any other non English-speaking country. Kudos to these guys.
I think there is a good few in spain aswell less than france but not much
@@Joseph13163 Galicia in north west Spain has a league with fifteen or sixteen clubs in it, they play a full championship match every week during summer. Played in the Pan-Euros there some years ago and the stand was full of local people, kinda mental.
Brittany also has a league with several clubs.
@@TheLastAngryMan01 yes they seem to have taken to it in a big way in areas with celtic heritage such as galicia and brittany.That has increased since i last looked at it about 10 years ago each region has added 5 clubs which is considerable growth.
@@Joseph13163 There are clubs now even in areas that you wouldn’t expect to be amenable to the expansion of gaelic games, like the Balkans, Kyiv, Estonia etc. Very impressive given it’s all based on volunteerism, essentially.
A New York, Dubai, Australia, Europe tournament to qualify for All Ireland Championship.
Europe is a good bit below the level required tbh. The Middle East have been the powerhouses in the world games in the past few years, Oz too.
They have handball too, played in a tournament organized by Paris Gaels three weeks ago.

I thought the Paris Gaels would field full teams.
There is a European 15 a side championship, but it tends to be teams from the Benelux region that takes part, as the full pitch is in Maastricht.
It’s somewhat the norm in county Europe to be four or five hours away from the nearest team.
Takes a few years to build a team of home grown players as NY and London have done. Starts at under age, lots of clubs in the UK are doing great work as they cannot rely of Irish emigrants.
One more step to pro.
Going pro. will destroy the gaa; when money is added it becomes a business
