there wasn't enough finesse shown here. sounded good if you know this type of sound (and how to use it) but sounds like azz to someone new to it. if that makes any sense
@@user-hy4xz1qt9h what threw me off is whe e bypassed it and activated it again, when bypassed the drums were almost muted lmao, should've made them louder so we can actually hear the difference...
I did look at the tutorial, but I guess the first question is: why would I want this plugin? It's basically a saturator. It's an area of plugins that's... completely saturated (pun intended). I mean yeah, Mike Dean sound etc., but why?
Seriously who can dislike such a brilliant sounding and versatile tool?! Just bought this and it’s AMAZING. I can tell already it’s going somewhere on every mix I do. It can also work wonders on a master bus with some judicious subtle dialing
Would you mind telling me which version you're using? I tested the x86 VST2 and it didn't work well at all. Massive CPU usage, crackling when changing parameters, 2 seconds delay after clicking controls. Kept me from buying it as I don't know if there will be fixes coming... Edit: I was also too stupid to understand how to turn on and off the limiter on Gainstation Boost, just in case you have that too. I fiddled around with the plugin and it kept going well over 0, but when using the first preset (I don't remember the name), it limited to 0 even if I changed parameters. But I couldn't find the control that changes that behaviours.
Oh man. Sweet sounding BUT .... i miss two things VERY MUCH. Global Dry/Wet knob and a Sidechain filter for the detector circuit in order to keep the subbass out of it if wanted. Should be a standard in any plugin
@@VAEOMMusic not the same workflow wise. You open a window to more possible mishaps. I prefer it in the plugin itself so i have a fast overview. I know that i can route things and open parallel channels and go wild but this is why i pay for a product. To build tools that accelerate my workflow and are simple and everything in front of me. And if someone builds exactly the tool i need i happily pay more. If you build a plugin from the ground and aim at asking 150 euros for it then i think it is not such a big deal to include some essential things. And to me Sc and Wet/Dry are essentials that should be standard. More and more modern plugins offer Sc filtering. Especially the better ones
I wouldn't honestly worry about dry/wet because this is more of a voltage/harmonic thing going on rather than compression or say reverb. The dry/wet ratio is what you dial into the plugin itself. I really don't see a need for a dry/wet knob. Or sc as Saar Dean said above.
..... i mean... are we gonna talk about how bad this distortion sounds? there's "agressive" but this one sounds "abrasive" at best - was looking to much better and at least "CLOSE" to what the mike dean sound is not cool for mike imho
? even 5% of that distortion tone isn't something i'd want. abrasive is abrasive. it sounds like a problem. it sounds like it needs fixing. and I'm a fan of parallel-anything! distortion, compression, you name it.
@@jamesst-clair7635 that is the sound of modern trap music, which is extremely popular. Obviously it’s not for everyone. But his target market will love it.
Why the dislikes?? This thing is going make 808s slap, ring, clap and KNOCK lol

You can easily create splitter channel to split above a certain frequency and then use this

Excellent work. But seriously How come no dry/wet mix 🧐
Exactly! And no Sc Filter ....

This is made for Trump supporters. Biden supporters use stock Ableton overdrive. Then EQ the lows out.

He’s over exaggerating it to show what it sounds like. Obviously in a real mix you would want to subtly mix it in and not overdue it.

Really like the diamond plugin, however this one sounded awful.
