worked like a charm. One bow crafted to burn, other one to freeze, a third for tear and deal high damage and finally the blast sling, then you become a big boy in Horizon world.
4 tramplers, 2 sawtooths, and 3 long legs all at once with this tactic, on hard difficulty. It only took me 51 seconds. Thanks again!
Freeze is amazingly effective. I enjoy combat more than just laying bombs and traps, although those certainly have their uses.
I hope they add Sun Ring Battles. Imagine fighting two corrupted Thunderjaws and a Deathbringer at the same time.

A lot of people saying this is op. Try that on UH with a herd of machines and youll be dead in a heart beat. You can never be op in this game if youre playing UH. unless you master the mechanics of the game or spend a sht ton of hours farming the best mods out there. Alot out there misunderstood this game lol

It can be useful during thunderjaw battle after you killed the thunderjaw
Still using that first set Teb gives you. It is nice to know you can keep a set on you just incase you find yourself in a cauldron with a much harder finale than you anticipated.
I'm replaying this again on pc in preparation for Forbidden West after already platinumed the ps4 version in 2017. I've watched a lot of your videos and they make my run on pc go a lot smoother, thank you.

Dude, great video, especially your commentary! I will now be saying "sticky, sticky, sticky" while I play. 😆 I've just started using the Shadow Sling with freeze mods and the Blast Sling with damage mods - my Blast Sling is up to about 350 damage. Nuked some Frostclaws with no problems at all. Then took down a Thunderjaw dropping bombs on its head. It's awesome!
For people who are complaining about the weapons being to OP and you can’t have fun anymore or hard mode doesn’t have its purpose here’s a pro-tip don’t use the shield weaver armor and don’t use the weapons he used which you can’t get from a merchant. You don’t get the shield weaver armor until around level 30 I think and you don’t even need to get it if you want. Plus the weapons he used, you need to complete the hunting grounds with the best score in order to get it and with also the modifications that are rare. Even if you have all of these but you still want a challenge then simply don’t use them.

People do challenge because they want to feel good about themselves , saying proudly they beat the hardest difficulty ... when OP equipments present , everyone can just do it so there’s no point in doing the challenge when they can’t brag about it , that is the point

When I played the dlc I realised how useful the freeze aspect really is. I always just used the blast sling and well placed arrows but now I use banuk hunter bow the banuk freeze weapon tripcaster and the blast sling. Shame I finished the game :( maybe I’ll play new game +

Raptor my method against a thunderjaw is take off all the ranged components and then keep a distance cause then all he can do is melee attacks
They should add like some custom game part of the game where you can choose the machines you want just image how cool that would be you just make a whole world of thunderjaws and try killing them all in ultra hard mode with the outcast armor and regular guns
Kind of a newbie here, can freeze be used on all machines to put them on the ground? Just bought it for PC and finding combat hard. (Not the smaller machines but the big ones)

Mmm...I just use three different bows. Makes it more action-packed. Though I didn't get extra arrows ability yet. Thought didn't cross my mind I could stack status effects faster that way.
I wouldn't really call being absolutely geared out in late game a "tactic". I'm looking for real tactics, like for example using the tear arrow to shoot off the disc shooter on the Thunderjaw to use against him.

Even with ammo crafter you still lose on blaze so a slightly slower way would be to blow off disk launchers with tearblast arrows then freeze and kill him with the launcher,
3 Freeze Arrow + 3 Hardpoint Arrow using Adept Striker Bow :)
And you showed there is a way to craft ammo without going to the menu...thanks for the help!

Depends on the mods u put on ur weapons.
Really depends on where you place the bombs.

Always been an xbox guy but i recently bought a ps5 and started paying this game and i gotta say thi has quickly become one of my top 3 favorite games! Its so freaking good!!
This is a good technique but I think the best one is to get them to kill one another by overriding or corrupting them.
Using corruption arrows I can take out a herd while hiding in the red grass and taking interesting screenshots!
the rattler gun works well in place of the sling too

I find more easy to beat the Thunderjaw with 1 or 2 of those arrows that break the components. I ame those 2 arrows to the weapons on the Thunderjaw back, them i take those weapons and beat him, 40 sec tops and less munition.
If you kill a machine 10 times or more can I evolve always when you kill it 10 times, or it evolve just one time?
Is there a reason they’re only dealing 34 damage (75 when frozen)? Were they nerfed? It says it has 280 impact damage but I’m barely even scratching them

Woops. I know they patched the extra damage from freeze from suddenly proc-ing unexpected extra damage that's not intended. Would it still be this quick on the difficulty you recorded?

Does this work on Ultra Hard as well?
The tactic I use is freezing the enemy and shooting them with the ice rail s ice cannon and it does 2000 damage with damage mods

What weapons to upgrade first? Should I just wait for the shadow weapons to purchase? I've had the opportunity to purchase one shadow weapon already but it would have taken all of my metal shards. Also, what outfit to use beyond Silent Hunter Medium? I'm trying to purchase things wisely.
go straight for shadow weapons. Use nora protector heavy because melee damage is most common
Or shoot a tear arrow at the launcher and use them against it

Shoot the hands first so they can't go back underground. And don't move. They can't detect you if you stay still
ChrisAC15 you need to fire at its claws with tear blast arrows because without claws, it can't dig

Why arr the Lodge Weapons superior to the Shadow weapons?
If you don't have the lodge sling just use the fireballs on the normal shadow sling??
Jayson Magnus use the shadow blast sling. its got the same ammo types just less damage I think
