Amazing shots here! Glad you're back in a good state of mind. Great video.
9:20 I love to see the ponies and right now they are so fluffy. I know we aren’t allowed to pet them but when they come up to you to say hi it’s kind of hard to resist!❤️🤪
Really neat to see you almost to Damascus! I really respect your being able to put in the miles and do the video recording and editing. I always get the video but never have for edits and posting. Respect! Really neat to see you find your footing again. Hike on!
All your awesome footage is going to make a great documentary!!!!!! You have a great eye for the lens! Angles, transitions!❤
Great camera work. Glad to hear you're feeling better.
One of my hands down favorite memories hiking there!
Just pure awesomeness!! Heavy sigh… Sure made this old heart feel good!!! ❤❤❤❤❤ thank you.
Grayson Highlands one of my favorite sections of the Appalachian trail. happy hiking
Looked like a great day…. Glad to see your spirits are on the rise…. Couple days of R&R always makes a difference….🙌🥾
Good to see you happy again ✌🏻
The vegetation pics reminded me of your NOBO pics of vegetation. All beautiful!! I'm glad to see you back on trail. I'm getting excited you are almost to Damascus.
Hope the trails are all cleared south.
Oh that sunshine and outdoors does a body and mind , good . Stay safe and warm ❤
🚶👟👟⛺🌞 so happy to see you feeling better and back on the trail it is beautiful out there let the good times roll brother stay safe and happy hiking 💯💪🏆🏆🏆 AKA Louisiana mountain man
We did just a little bit of the Grayson Highlands in May 2022 right after I got diagnosed with cancer. I had always wanted to go there and my husband helped me to get there. Honestly, we didn't think I'd live to see another May, much less another 3 years. Anyway, it's so good to see the ponies in your video (we only saw ponies on an AT hiker's phone that day!) We parked at Massie Gap, hiked the Rhododendron Trail to the AT, headed south towards Thomas Knob shelter, but turned around quite a ways short of it because it looked like it was about to rain and we were running out of time (we were heading to Christiansburg for a visit with my husband's sister and brother-in-law). Anyway, I'd love to get back again. Maybe this May? Thanks for bringing up those great memories.
I can see that SOBOING smile. Nice👍👍👍
He's back!! Looking good..Captain Jack! Great views. Loved the pics of the various vegetation and the ponies.
Glad you r back !!
Captain, glad you're back, can tell by the spring in your steps. Happy Hiking!!!
Awesome!
Glad you had nice weather at the highlands.
It's good to see you back at it. I think those 2 days done you alot of good. Grayson Highlands has always been one of my favorite parts. I love the ponies. The weather looked really decent too so that helps. I look forward to the next video. Take care out there and I send lots of love from Oregon ❤
Grayson Highlands and Franconia Ridge were my two favorite places on trail. Loved crossing through there! Glad you got a great day for it bud!
Your videos are a staple for me to watch . I guess I’m interested in what this young man is up to. I hope if you decide to not hike that you continue to video your daily activities. I like your authenticity on your perspective of things. You’re genuine and real , I think what you see is what you get. I wish you luck in whatever your heart , soul takes you . 🌸Christine
Wow! Loved today's video. Your filming and editing were absolutely amazing. Nice to see you feeling better and back on trial.
Grayson Highlands has way too many trails, but still offers something hard to find east of the Rockies: Off-trail wandering in mountain top open spaces. Amazing spots, camps and crags everywhere, known only to those of us who can come back and poke around again and again over years: The Bog, Judy's Tit, the Sugar Shed, the Whiskey Tree and Webb's Knob are not on any map. Its the opposite of the Long Green Tunnel!
Hey , just a thought- there is so many more things to hike (if you what to hike)then the Appalachian trail, Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Montana-Oregon Trail, Redwoods etc… lol 😊
🌸Christine
Amazing video ! Loved it. Great editing and filming! Makes me miss the trail for sure! Keep going brother!
Beautiful and lovely to see you back on trail, even with the wrong turn 😂. We’ve all been there, lol. Happy trails.🤘🏻🥾⛰️
Just needed a day or two to chill. Looks like a short reset worked. Heads up. CapCut will be lost if you have to reboot your phone or backup.
Love is seeing the beauty of God’s creation in the Grayson Highlands on a winter day. ❤️
Love Grayson Highlands. Rhododendrum Gap in early June all ablaze with blossoms and pollen drunk bees. Brown grasses waving in a March breeze with ponies around - expecting Indians to come over the ridge at any moment. Controlled burns with smoke patches passing tbrough tge woods. And oh the views!
"NO HORSES". Dude, I'm glad to see you're back on trail and shoved out!
If you find a dead pony in Grayson, it's been cold enough that the meat is still probably good. Hiker tip.
What a horrible comment. That would be unethical, besides the fact that the ponies belong to Wilburn Ridge Pony Association. Any deaths need to be reported to them.
I once passed through Grayson in the winter and had to do the Han Solo trick with a Ton-ton and sleep inside one to survive. 👍
