    Very Useful material for beginners of Indian history. I have studied ancient India during my graduation. Mehargadh was new for me . We have many agrarian and Village civilization sites in India such as Ropar, rangpur, Kapurthala, lothal , kalibangan, Rakhi gadhi etc. Thank you for introducing me this new site.
    I am very curious to know about Sanskrit speaking tribes of Afghanistan and Pakistan. Please post a discussion on this topic in future . Have they also maintained or preserved other aspects of Aryan culture. ? Such as food habits , religious rituals, social customs and heirarchy ?
    If not what might be the reason for dropping all these accept their language ?
    This is very surprising .

    Meluhha is the Sumerian name of a prominent trading partner of Sumer during the Middle Bronze Age. Its identification remains an open question, but most scholars associate it with the Indus Valley Civilization. Mesopotamian used to call people of Indus Valley Civilization as Meluhha. (Wikipedia, Professor Mark Kenoyer's lecture at University of Chicago available on UA-cam.

    Sir, thanks for giving valuable information. Can you please discuss about Dravidian people and their language like whether they were the people who migrated to south after decline of harappan civilization or they had completely different civilization evolved in parallel or before harappan civilization. Also is it true that dravadian is older than vedic sanskrit.

    Great video, but Dr, Sahab makes few mistakes. One it is called Zag-rosian, not Zara-gosian. Also at 26.25 he says second branch went to Europe through Alaska, that is wrong. They originated in Eurasian Steppes (modern day Ukraine and adjacent Russian grasslands) and moved to West and North in Europe from there.

    • @effendi77
      @effendi77 Рік тому

      Minor errors. In fact the Indo-Iranians came from Central Russia of the modern times, NOT from Iran. That region was part of, at that time, what we today call the Andronovo culture. That is a different discussion altogether. Par Prof Sb oran di khaas domain knowledge South Asia te Punjab di ay.

Although it’s spoken and even used in poetry. Thx

      Punjabi Muslims poets used Shahmukhi script. Baba Farid, Shah Hussain, Sultan bahu, Bulleh Shah, Waris Shah, Ghulam Farid, Mian Mohammad Bakhs all used Shahmukhi script, not gurmukhi. So it made sense for Mulsims to use Shahmukhi.

    I have to protest at the use of incorrect language in describing history.
    You cannot use the terms India or hindustan because it implies an incorrect historical term. Historically it was a region, but now it refers to a country, you cannot use those terms to describe Pakistani history. We have to recognise ground realities, and apply correct terms. It is unfair and false.
    You can use the term Indus region/alaka, or any such fair terms. The history belongs to the modern day ground realities.
    There was no India or hindustan 5000 years ago. As Pakistani historians, it's your responsibility to create your own message, and not fall prey to intellectual laziness.
