JP sir has been my role model since my college days and I believe whatever he speaks. I retired 3 years back in a central PSU after working for 38 years where there was no pension which needed to be funded by government. However a contributory pension scheme was introduced some time back wherein the employee and the management contributes a certain percentage of basic pay every month which forms part of a corpus the interest on which will be paid as pension after retirement. No budget provisions needed by governments. There are so many such PSUs both at Central and state level paying meagrel amounts of pensions. Even though employees of PSUs were considered as government employees for all practical purposes, they didn't have the pension system like that of 'pure' government employees. General public is not aware of this. I post this with due respect to JPsir and the interviewer as well. Thank you.

ప్రభుత్వ, ప్రైవేటు ఉద్యోగులకు జీతాల్లో తేడా ఉండకూడదు. అందరు (ప్రభుత్వ, ప్రైవేటు ఉద్యోగుల నుంచి) జీతాలనుంచి పెన్షన్ పథకం కోసం మినహాయించి రిటైర్మెంట్ ఐన ప్రతి ముసలి ఉద్యోగికి సమాన పెన్షన్ ప్రభుత్వమే బాధ్యతగా ఇవ్వాలి. అప్పుడు యువతకు ప్రభుత్వ ఉద్యోగం మీద మోజు తగ్గిపోతుంది. కనీస జీతం చెల్లించి తీరాలని ప్రైవేటు కంపెనీలకు చట్టం ద్వారా ఒత్తిడి తేవాలి.

10% my basic pay was deducted since July 1973 and a corpus Fund created. But only 40% of my last basic is being paid as Pension from 2007 on retirement ignoring 50%. So much corpus Fund lays with the Management. Court ordered to pay 50%. My basic Pension not upgraded though 17 years passed. A meager Pension is not enough in these days.
