The pick on the right sideline roll-out wasn't bad. He made the right decision, just severely underthrew the ball. The receiver had 7yds of cushion for a 30+ yd gain. Nuss just didn't square his shoulders, he can throw accurately while fading away or running, but he's not consistently accurate throwing across his body. The second interception in the red zone was a bad decision, but the pass was available if he threw the ball on time. He should know better than throwing in that tight of a window. Had he rifled that ball in that exact spot 0.1s earlier, then it's likely a touchdown pass. It was about a quarter second window, not worth it, bad decision, but if you slow down the play you can see what he saw and why he threw it.
That stop on the goal line would not have happened last year. They showed a physicality in that play that has been missing for a while. They make mistakes, as young guys will, but they show a little improvement each week. More than anything, there is no quit, they fly to the ball, and play hard. I still feel encouraged about the future. If they finish 9-3 or 8-4, win a bowl, and sign a top 3 class on NSD that would be a success.
Re-watch the play, Kyren thought Caden was gonna beat the crossing defender to the goal line, but saw the tailing defender catching up. So, instead of blocking the crossing defender, he blo ked the tailing defender. Kyren is a beast of a blocker, he just made the wrong decision that play.
Those 2 picks by nuss were terrible. Other than that lsu looked good

Really only the 2nd half int was bad. The one before half was the right decision. He just underthrough it
I was there thank you lsu for not losing
Nuss needs to be more careful with the ball

I said all week that LSU would thump South Alabama! They took care of business.
Kyron Lazy needs to learn how to block down field.
