Usually when I tell Lovie "what can go wrong....." she runs for the camera.... and the fire extinguisher, yes and in that order .....

Awesome episode brother repeatable scalable experiments can only be achieved with lab grade chemicals. This will allow you to see the error of your ways once, out your control variables are accounted for what is left is the road to the answer. Awesome awesome episode beautiful silver.

Thanks I should have gone with weak Sulfuric acid and iron . Lesson learned

I hate messing with silver chloride. I much prefer cementation and electrolysis. Nice result though👍

Thanks , really should have used weak sulfuric acid and iron . I love how it works .

I’m going to try a pressure cell I think. I have some old HPLC stuff with a critical CO2 cell. I have heard just ammonia under pressure will dissolve gold. I can probably get 3000 psi if anyone has any suggestions.

@@naughtiusmaximus830 I would need to research that before offering any opinions . So behind on things mountain of e waste , unfinished copper cell run , silver plate stripping .

@ I will look into it. My pressure cell is about 500ml but maybe for pins it could be useful. The crew at Hard Rock university had some ideas. I have 6L centrifuge that does 10,000 x G that might be interesting too for extraction.

Also lye and sugar cost extra money! I get copper for free !

Had to convert it from silver chloride to silver oxide then metallic silver .

Silver chloride is a pain in the ass when you are trying to do analysis. I swear just breathing on it causes it to precipitate out.

I was in a hurry and just wanted to clean up some waste containers , I think there may have been some tin in it . Probably should have biles in HCl I thought the lil bit of purple was a reaction to light . Maybe not .

@ Sreetips last video was interesting. His chips kept recementing but he kept testing like a pro and pushed the reaction through.
