- Join me in this DIY adventure as I convert my 1999 EZ-GO TXT golf cart to a more sustainable and efficient power source. In this video, I'll guide you through the process of upgrading the cart with three 12-volt batteries. But that's not all! We're taking it a step further by installing a solar charge controller . There will be further modifications to the cart in the future

did you add the solar panel video yet?
Thinking of changing my 4 x 12 volt Ezgo RXV weak batteries with Walmart marine deep cycle max and adding solar. You said you don't know how many mile for 2 days on a charge but my question is how many hills? Are you up and down or mostly level. For me, it's up or down when I'm in one of my carts ( all gas except for the RXV). Great video. Explained well and easy to follow. Thanks again
Where I ride one way is just mostly down hill but on the way back is all up hill . My girlfriend uses it for her gardening she does around the house and is always pulling a little trailer . We have been charging it more often but I plan on adding more batteries and testing it out . I’ve just got tied up with other projects
I still haven’t added my solar panels and I believe that will be a great improvement . One day I’ll get it done and test it out
Did you use your regular 36 volt charger at all on your cart after you converted it to the 12 volt batteries?
Yes I use my 36 volt charger to charge it up and it works just like normal
Where did you find the panels and charger??
I had the panel give to me but they do sell them on Amazon in a lot of different sizes and the charger I bought off of Amazon for around 30 or 40 bucks . One panel isn’t enough to run the charger
What kinda range are you getting with those batteries?
I’m not sure how many miles but I ride it on my land carrying tools back and forth and I’ll charge it about every 2 days . It last longer then I expected
