It's so amazing. I've been following you for years- back before the pandemic when I almost (like nearly on the plane when the country closed) went to Japan. I'll admit I was frustrated and stopped checking updates for a WHILE. Grats on everything, it's so exciting all that you've accomplished. That said I'd LOVE to hear more about being a foreigner in Japan as a PM. I'm a PM here in the US and I'm curious for the differences.
@@kemushichan So for my background- Currently I mostly work for medium-large tech companies (so not FAANG but still tech). I’m most at home with some form of agile, currently doing SAFe. Japan doesn’t seem like the sort of place to be agile though, so I’m curious about overall project management. Sorry, I’m trying to think of how to narrow down all my questions, and it’s tough. I have so many! I guess the biggest questions would be project structure and key skills? As I said, Japan doesn’t seem like an agile sort of place, and from what I can pull together Japanese deliverables puts strong focus on QA and quality, putting emphasis on root cause analysis related skills. And then the next set would be how can a person used to US IT companies succeed in Japan? OK those are still huge questions. I’d love any insights though!
