Amazing! Why isn't this guy world famous? I never thought I'd say this about any pianist, but here goes: He not only rivals Art Tatum's extraordinary technical virtuosity, but he plays within a wider range of dynamic levels than did Tatum.
Pamiętam- Pomorska Jesień Jazzowa, Bydgoszcz. Siedziałem na na proscenium, taki był tłum, urzeczony. To se ne wrati! Pozdrowienia dla II LO!!! Long live Copermicus!!!
AM at any time of the day (AM or PM)-superb! With ambidexterously fluid left & right hands he is ideal an ideal player of Tatum master works putting his own topspin on them.
He's great. I wished I could play like him. Adoreable. Know this Guy from US Shortwave Jazzprogram on 6040 15 years ago. Am a great admirerer since then. The title should be changed though. Very hard to find him on youtube like that. Thanks for posting.
Adam Makowicz is virtually unknown in America, even among the sadly dwindling numbers of the jazz community. I have even spoken to people in Poland who never heard of him. He is yet another reason I am proud to be Polish--and a musician as well.
If I'd ever encounter a magical gini... my one and only wish would be to play like this... Funny thing is that he lives in Toronto and I've never herd of him :O

This is ART on a high level. And ART would have been proud. What a technique and sense of harmonies....
He is really one of the best and (unfortunately) almost forgotten. What a shame. Look for his CDs - highly recommended!!
My jaw is on the floor. I can't believe what I'm hearing...and watching! Thank you for putting this up. :>)
Приезжайте к нам в Троицк, Подмосковье!

Makowicz zagrał tak, jakby miał dwa mózgi i 20 palców ! Brawo !!!

Yea! first time I heard him
It reminds me more like Johnny Costa...totally!!!!!but awesome
Шопен в джазе.
Actually, he IS....
Don't talk bollocks man! He's maybe equally as amazing, different too, but NOT better! Tatum was THE greatest ever.
Nie chodzi o technike, technicznie jest duzo lepszy niz Corea co nic nie znaczy, obije sa wybitnymi pianistami.
