Greetings from Canada. Thanks for the series on the T1X. I just finished putting these very accessories on my Tikka which has improved the rifle overall, to my liking anyway. I had trouble finding the kalixteknik cheek riser in Canada but was able to order one from the UK. It took about a month but finally arrived. The installation went smoothly and looks like it left the factory with the riser on it. 10/10 for quality of the riser kit. My T1X had a foam block inside the stock that was easy to trim to make room for the clamping block. My only regret is you can't see the beautiful machine work of the locking block once it's installed. Cheers.
Just mulling a new 22lr and liked the base Tikka price. Sadly the base model seems lacking, spacers should be included imo. When totted up its not such an attractive option. Think its going to be CZ. Good info though thanks.
I've watched this before, but some time ago! I have just bought a second hand T3X Varmint stock which has the cheek raiser, longer butt pad, the up right pistol grip and the aditional fore end already on it. So, all I have to do is take the action + barrel and trigger guard off my T1X and put them in the Varmint stock and I'm all done 😀. It's lucky I waited, as now a lot of stocks are becoming available since all these chassis are coming on the market. By the way, I can put my standard T3X which is in 243w in the varmint stock too!
I sure wish a dealer, any dealer here in Canada carried these accessories for the Tikka T1x. I'd have a couple of them on mine, I can assure you, first would be the length of pull spacers. Thanks for this Pete!
I heard in parts 2 and 3 videos that you removed the "shoe horn" block under the barrel of the Tikka T1X MTR standard stock and obtained better accuracy results from the rifle. Is this correct? Was it significant enough to recommend removing the "shoe horn" block in the standard stock, as a first step to upgrading towards a better chassis or stock? Thanks in advance... and for the videos (Parts 1, 2 & 3).
Got a GRS ready to go for part 3 and a promise of a Oryx at a later date, already got one for my Bergara B14 HMR/6.5 Creedmoor and it's good, but after accessorising my T1x I'm going to stick with that format for a bit, as it does the job and is a lot cheaper
What is the scope? I see it says 1 click / 1/10 mil on the screw.. I'm looking for a quality FFP MIL scope under/ around €500 for my T1x, but they are hard to find..
I own a rifle and shotgun for hunting and two semi-auto pistols for personal protection. They are merely tools and I do not fawn over them and trick them out like many gun nuts do. I worry about these people and their potential to go off the deep and and turn into mass murderers as happens far too often.
just got my tikka t1-X 17hmr - it is a great varmint gun.
Thanks, very good information for me as a new Tikka T1X owner👍

Great video thank you. What moderator are you using?
Enjoyed that, check riser is a must I find
Yep, no arguments from me on that one

LOP kit is money well spent
calgary shooting centre has the cheekriser...
Stoeger Canada carries the actual Tikka accessories.
@@Auburnwoodsman Thanks Jon!
Hi, great video, I wanted to know what you mounted on the barrel of the rifle, is it a silencer or a muzzle brake? Where can I buy it?
Is that forend and grip, labeled for a T3??? Do they fit on a T1x ???? I’m confused

GRS stock would be my choice and a decent rail I’d imagine there are options for the trigger too

That is just stupid 🙄
