Thanks for this video. Pointing out the pin on the bottom plate that needs trimmed helped me out. Getting the little bolt release pin wedge in took some trimming also, as the pin hole in it wasn’t big enough.
I just bought the Tikka T3X veil /wildland and very disappointed in the stock. It's garbage. Looking for an upgrade. I like the GRS! THANK YOU for the video!
I have two rifles by Tikka, a T3x in 243 and a T1x in 22lr and I thought one of these would do very nicely for them. So, I bought one and fitted it into the 22lr T1x as per instructions, adjusted it to fit me. But being quite a small guy, it felt quite bulky and plus it is heavier than the standard rifle. Both my Tikka share a Harris style bipod, both have over barrel suppressors and have Vortex Diamondback scopes. To be honest, I shot the standard 22lr rifle better, it was easier to carry and plus it came up quicker for a quick shot. So, my Bifrost is up for sale, the concept is great but in practice just too bulky and heavy. Sorry, just does work for me!
Thanks for review. How this stock is different from factory tikka(except looking cool), if it doesnt have any type of bedding block? Does it made from special "superpolymer" that doesnt get deformed or chipped over time shooting?
I’ve just put a variation in to purposely get one one these I’m hoping to put a GRS stock on it and a wildcat panther the only thing I’m worried about is a over barrel mod weren’t fit on the 16inch barrel just wandering what mod you’ve got here obviously it’s a 20 inch version
Don't want to rain on your parade, but I've just been on the Tikka website and it says the CTR is no longer available ... Might want to check that out, as I have no idea. And though there's nothing wrong with 260 Rem, a better bet would be 6.5 Creedmoor, as it's near enough the same thing, but more popular and as calibre history shows us older designs quickly fall out of favour, certainly in terms of factory ammo availability.
Have you seen the chassis system from MBE Ballistic solutions for the T3x and T1x. Made in the UK. Got to see one in person a few days ago, very very nice bits of kit.
That's a complete brand new rifle in a bespoke full billet aluminium chassis system. With weights, arca pic clamp, pic rail, mag and muzzle brake. (the MBE muzzle brakes are pretty awesome themselves) Could easy drop £2500 on a decent scope. Sounds like a bargain to me.
Have you tried the thicker/wider fore end? I have a Tikka T3X CTR Stainless Steel with the wider fore end and is plenty heavy Gives you a better platform. I know the butt sounds tinny like and hollow. I suppose you could fill it with foam or whatever.
@@WilhelmNauta How old is your rifle. I know that Tikka, Berretta received complaints about it and they have supposed have rectified with a more solid, robust stock.
It looks like you have lightened the trigger pull some.. ua-cam.com/video/TG5kD-4HNlY/v-deo.html. What are the checks you need to perform after lightening the trigger pull of a Tikka T3/T3x/T1x?
Placed my 6.5 Creedmoor Super Varmint in the GRS Bifrost. Superb, no complaints and most comfortable stock I have used.
You should try the new GRS hunting light 😊

Excellent video tutorial. Do you this this suitable for the 16 Inch barrel t1x?

You sell it yet I might be interested
@@liquidsteel Hi, thank you for the interest, but it sold very quickly.
But thank you for asking.
@@richardt.4224 Thanks for the valuable info about bulk and weight. The manufacturer or enthusiasts will never mention the drawbacks.
Sorry. Just does Not work for me ?
This review was very helpful. Thank you, sir!
Thanks so much for this. Really interested in a GRS for my T3x CTR 6.5 CR, and this is convincing me that the Bifrost may be the way to go.
How did this effect accuracy? How much are they?
Thanks for review. How this stock is different from factory tikka(except looking cool), if it doesnt have any type of bedding block? Does it made from special "superpolymer" that doesnt get deformed or chipped over time shooting?
They should make a folding stock at a fair price .They would make a fortune....
Was there an improvement in accuracy?
Will the Tika T3x CTR fit that ? And will the T1x still be interchangeable?
Yes
Do you still have the original Tikka t1x stock with all the upgrades and if so would you like to sale it to me ?
I have the Oryx chassis & love it!
i like the oryx too, but they dont do lefties like bitfrost does do lefties
A stainless T1x would be nice.
Hmm, I wonder if they will?
@@GunMartTV I would buy one.
Hi Pete/Tubers, do GRS make the Bifrost or indeed the Berserk for the CZ 455 .22lr rifle?
Thank you for the video and introducing such a nice stock. Will this fit for a T3x Lite?
Yes
have a tx1 in a 17 hmr with a 16.5 barrel would this stock work? and do i need to take it to a gunsmith for the work thank keith from michigan usa
You should be able to bolt it straight in!

My T1x had a 16 inch barrel and I could still use the over barrel silencer no problem, I hope that helps.
I can see a variation going in and it being for 3 more rifles with GRS stocks I can see it being .22lr T1x 22-250 varmint and .260 CTR

@@GunMartTV I was told it’d special order the other day I’ll mention that to my local RFD
I had a Bergara b14 hmr 22-250 that was Lazer accurate...But, I couldn't find factory ammunition for it locally and online it was $45 to $60 a box
Love it.👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻
Will you be reviewing the discover that’s on top of the rifle
Yes I will be, as it's proving to be a lot of scope for the money...
Dave, just done the video, which will be up on line next week
I am writing from Chilliwack BC Canada. Will my Tika T3 Sporter action and barrel fit into this bifrost stock?
Thanks Ted

How much did it increase the rifle weight by? I am looking to make my Tikka T3X more rigid and heavier.

@@WilhelmNauta How old is your rifle.

I didn't take a weight, as it had more to do with it being so much bulkier than a standard Tikka that I got rid of it.
How heavy was that T1x in the Bitfrost stock
Sorry no idea, I just know it wasn't for me. It had more to do with how much extra bulky it was compared to the 16inch T1x I had.
