Hi people, have you also just converted a New/Baby IIM? And confused whether to go for it or not?
Well I was in the same boat 5 years back and hence sharing my thoughts and experience about these 7 New/Baby IIMs.
P.S - I have specifically talked about 7 New IIMs established in 2015 in this video, this video does not discuss any other IIMs.
Also, if you've converted a tourism/hospital/bla bla specialised MBA from these New IIMs then I have discussed about that too towards the end of the video.

Acha video tha bhai, but ek important baat miss kardi tumne that sets certain Tier 2 Legacy Institutes (XIMB, IMT G, TAPMI, etc.) apart from 2nd and 3rd Gen IIMs: alumni. Alumni, I think, play an important role and give a significant edge to these institutes, which are competing with newer IIMs in terms of placement CTC. Some of them have a 2-3 decade edge and have gathered a good reputation in the corporate world. This year, many colleges dived deep into their alumni networks to get students placed because of the economic crisis, and I think they did a decent job. Secondly, roles! On the face of it, there isn't much difference in packages, but some of these Tier-2 private institutes do have better roles coming on campus, especially in Marketing and Finance, as per my research.
But overall if the brand value of 2nd and 3rd Gen IIMs aren't diluted they will go far for sure, exhibit A, Shillong. 26LPA Average, very close to averages of MDI G and SIBM P.

What's your take on the IPM program offered by IIM Indore, Rohtak, Jammu, Bodhgaya, Ranchi and IIFT Kakinada
My daughter is wait listed 26 (General) in IIM Kashipur-Business Analytics. Any chance of conversion? Kya use CAT ki preparation phir se karni chahiye? Plz suggest.
Wait krlo sir aap kch din, waitlist movements are very unpredictable so we cant really say anything. Agar convert hojata h well n good, else she can start preparing again by next month. Since this time basis already clear hai to utna jyada time lgega nhi preparation me.
I scored 94% in 10th grade, 87% in 12th grade, and have an average score of 70% in the first three years of my four-year nursing degree. I have been scoring above the 90th percentile in the TIME AIMCAT tests and plan to appear for the exams in 2025. However, I am unsure about pursuing an MBA since my background is in nursing and I have no knowledge of marketing, HR, finance, or other MBA specializations. Most of my peers in coaching are from engineering or business backgrounds. Should I continue my MBA preparation or consider a different path? Additionally, I have completed internships in nursing and community health nursing, but I am feeling uncertain about my future.

Don’t worry, mba colleges love students from such diverse backgrounds. Your nursing background can play a crucial role in your selection. Focus on getting a great CAT score, don’t worry about any thing else for now! All the best!

Firstly target as much percentile as you can, dont get fix on any number. Secondly, yes there are students who convert IIMs with 2 year gap as well, only thing is, you should know how to justify those gap years in your profile.

Hello. 93 % 10th, 94% 12th and 9.67 C.G.P.A Tier 2 college. How much minimum percentile in CAT would be enough for Baby IIMs? Just wanted an idea.

Brother i gave cat exam this year, also i taken a drop year after my graduation, But my percentile is just 41,i worked very hard one year but in lrdi im not able to do a single question in exam hall due to sectional timing and also i did my graduation in bachelor in pharmacy, as i belongs to odisha I've no option now and i qualify the entrance exam in kiit school of management (ksom) Bhubaneswar. Should i join to have a great career ahead?
agar lgta h CAT me improve krloge score, to try kro koi job join krke sath sath prepare krte rho. Mushkil ho skti h milne me isliye kch courses ya certifications kro and fir job ka try kro. Jis college ka naam mention kra h, I don't know about it much but agar fees bht jyada nhi h and thk thak placement bhi dilwa rha h to join kr skte ho and sath sath apne skills pe work krte rehna taki job easily mil ske.

6/7/5 with 2years gap how much percentile required for new or baby iims.

Try as much as you can, never aim for a fixed number, try getting out the best of your potential.
Brother,I have converted IIM Jammu and IIT Dhanbad, financial condition is pretty bad, should I go with Dhanbad for the ROI, considering the 20+ lakh fee of Jammu 😢
ROI matters more if your financial condition is weak, so go where you get better ROI

@@AmazorTalks bhai aap placement aur alumni bhi dekho plus roles ka bhi bohot difference hai. Shillong gives good competition but definitely not Udaipur.
@@_shreyans hmm fair point, but we need to also consider that Shillong is also only 4 years older than Udaipur and hence same logic still applies in this comparison. Which is the point I wanted to share in my video. thanks for sharing your thoughts though…much appreciated!

Both are same more or less, If I was in your position, I would have chosen Jammu due to the location primarily.

If we talk particularly about an MBA in HR then no doubt TISS is great. But in this particular video I have discussed general MBA and as discussed in the video, my focus has always been more on the recognition and tag value, hence I considered it in Level 2. These are my personal thoughts based on my experience so far! It's okay if you have a different opinion..

I actually went with nagpur but now i also have trichy but mba-hr also Sambalpur sirmaur bodhgaya and IMI delhi . Little confused for trichy hr against nagpur core ? Though I am not certain about hr.

Too early to say anything about it, abhi bht nya h ye program, so cant really say much.
seems like there was no one to guide you at that time thats why you took this bad move with your career plus your basics are still not brushed up, lmao comparing MDI with Udaipur, Kotak gives 20-30% less salary for a similar genman role to a udaipur grad than a MDI one. plus you're thinking even after 50 years people will recognise you due to your college but not for yourself. a college's job is just to provide you with a first job, after that it's purely on your performance
Some points you mentioned here are correct and appropriate while some are not. I’ll try answering this in a dedicated video as few other people had very similar doubts after the video. Stay tuned✌️

New IIM ki definition bhi btayi h as given on the government website. New IIM and Baby IIM is the same thing. Then there are 2nd Gen IIMs and Old IIMs.
