I’ve listened to most FOTW podcasts twice but probably 4 times for Cheri’s episode, it’s just soooo good and funny. And Dana and David do a great job too. I loved learning so much about Cheri’s younger years and the journey to SNL etc. She is definitely the best episode by far in my books!

I just have to say, I loved this interview. I really enjoyed getting to hear this side of Cheri. My aunts also had the crocheted toilet paper cozies btw (the dolls and the hats).
I feel blasphemous that I didn't even mention Leslie Jones, one of the all-time greats! I always ALWAYS loved everything she did!!! My humblest apologies to Leslie Jones for not mentioning her in the first place. My GAWWD that woman is hilarious!!!
Candice Bergen wasn't never a cast member. Also, I'm surprised you didn't mention Molly Shannon. She is way funnier than several of the people you listed.
I always loved Cheri's characters and how she put so much energy into them. She is in my top ten favorite SNL players of all time. I never miss a chance to see her in anything new. I hope she gets a regular gig on a streaming show or a sitcom. Maybe someday, some genius will realize that all of the talented SNL ladies deserve to have a show they can do together, kind of like a comedy version of Stepfird Wives, but the men are robots.

I'm saying it- The first cast with Chevy, Dan, Jane, Gilda, John etc stands alone but the best SNL cast member is Dana and the best ensemble cast is Cheri, Ana Gasteyer and Molly Shannon with an honorable mention to Maya Rudolph.
I liked her Judge Judy & Barbara Walters impressions; it was spot on.. the late Gilda (Radner) did a Barbara impression as "Baba Wawa" back in the 1970's.

When she was on SNL, friends and I felt she and Will Ferrell were the breakout stars. And since then, Will took off and she just....faded. But she's just as funny and energetic here, and even more interesting with the family stories. Nice to remember how much of a favorite SNLer she is.
Yeah, and I still don't get it! She was every bit as talented and funny as Ferrell. I loved her on snl, and had/have a huge crush on her. But, notwithstanding that, I am surprised she didn't become a bigger star. She has the chops.
WOTS is that she and Chris Kattan were both very difficult and alienated the other cast members and it's why neither ever shows up in the movies made by their castmates.

Started listening " I usually have a knife with a 3 inch blade for close combat work" wtf!? Comedy is a tough gig! (it was the actually the episode with the secret service agent who happened to be a woman and was talking about body guarding presidents etc.)
Sherri Oteri is one of them people in Hollywood where you say what the hell happened? She was on a Saturday night live held her own against Will Ferrell but hasn’t been seen in decades. Why wasn’t she given an SNL movie? Why didn’t they make the cheerleader thing into a movie?
The Italian woman on the porch policing the street. I saw that skit growing up and wound up living in Florida as an adult, I'd see some lady doing that and start laughing hysterically.
