This takes me back ! in the Indian National Cadet Corps (which I was in for 2 years) this is the starting rifle you get to learn shooting basics. Absolutely fun gun to shoot with, we were fearing recoil and the sound. To only learn that those were not things to worry about at all !
I learned to shoot at the ripe old age of 6 years old on one of these Lee Enfield Sht .22 MkIV*. It was too heavy for me to shoot it any other way than prone but it started a life long love affair with Lee Enfields. I now own two of these, A BSA MkIV* and an LSA MkIV.
Can you do a video on a rare fully automatic Armalite AR-18 with the bonus taped 40 round magazines from the terminator? Or a fully automatic Cobray/SWD M11/9 submachine gun?
@@LambdaVideos not really. These type of rifles are ‘trainers’, rifles made during ww2 to train soldiers for shooting. They are very rare, and could even go for the price of the actual gun, or maybe even more depending on how ‘unique’ it is. Essentially, these are now collectors’ items
That's because the gestapo have too much power. Back when people in England owned guns, the police very rarely carried one themselves and crime was low with nearly non existent gun crime, but once the bans took place because of what happened in another country ie Scotland, now gun crime is high, stabbings etc etc and the police carry machine guns with them. And remember England has the English bill of rights 1689 (the USA used the same bill) that allows you to bear arms for self defense, it's all there to see so unless the law wants to over write rights I say have what you want mate. Just don't tell the police lol
Predator 4443 to be fair the Israel military uses .22 rifles I could see it as a short range marksman weapon. These rifles were meant for training new recruits though.

I've been watching your channel for a while now and I love every upload. I have been meaning to ask, I have always wanted to shoot on my own property/backyard like you do. If you don't mind me asking, what state do you live in where this is possible?
Literally almost any state where you can own most guns you'll be good to shoot on your own land. The problem is more the land than the state. Really, just avoid California, New York, Massachusetts, Illinois, New Jersey, and probably a couple other states. Anywhere in the South, most of the Midwest is lovely for this kind of stuff. Get a berm or big hill to shoot into, a lot of dirt behind it that you own and that's really all you need.
I love using it in battlefield, its my favorite bolt action gun next to the m200 intervention and the lever action Winchester or henry rifles in real life. I cant own em in California yet cuz they’re strict asf with 18 year olds but ill definitely be getting em when im 21 and move to a different state😭
The video shows the Lee Enfield chambered in .22LR used for training only. The one used in battle is chambered in .303 British which has the recoil one would come to expect and a good marksman can hit a soldier-sized target out to 500 yards with just the iron sights.
A .410 shotgun bore??? As cool as that would be, I do not think that exists lmao. This isnt a custom, this is a No.1 Mk.IV, the .22 caliber training version.
@@notforsaletoday1895 There certainly are, but I do not believe the Enfield ever had a bolt action version. I'd have to double check my list (I wrote the article on Gun Wiki about Enfields, I have like every model that ever existed listed on it) but if it existed, it sure doesnt anymore
Samuel Knight there are lee enfield .410 single shots, they were used for riot control in India, I believe forgotten weapons or inrange made a video on one
I used this rifle in 1971 when I was an Australian Cadet. You could not miss. We used 303 empty cartridges as our target, that is how accurate it was. Talk about over-engineering.
Same I learnt to shoot with these in 1972 UK army cadets we were supposed to have been 13 but many of us were only 12 probably the only reason we went was that we could fire up to 12 rounds a week
Some of the earlier versions had a magazine cut off that only allowed for the loading and firing of one round at a time. I guess they thought the troops would fire off too many rounds. I wonder how many soldiers died as a result of this when they were being overrun?
AH! I know that gun! Great find! I believe that's a No.1 Mk.IV, I wrote the Gun Wiki page on Fandom with the help of my gunsmith neighbor who happens to be an Enfield enthusiast and lent me a book on them. The SMLE is an absolute thing of beauty

Could you do a video on the mp5 if you have one or even the mp5-sd?
No recoil? Is that how the LE works or is it just a quirk of being a training rifle?
It's the ammo
.22 light rifle , combined with the weight of a SMLE, basically has no recoil
The video shows the Lee Enfield chambered in .22LR used for training only. The one used in battle is chambered in .303 British which has the recoil one would come to expect and a good marksman can hit a soldier-sized target out to 500 yards with just the iron sights.
