I'm deeply sad because the "JR SH3" in 1:07 are not used again in Tokyo station, They replace it with the new unnamed strange melodies now 😭 See it here : ua-cam.com/video/oNkZaT2WUFI/v-deo.htmlsi=y83cNnWW4CNf1Jf-
@pong_sim Whole Tokyo Station Platforms just change their melodies with the "Unnamed" Stock melodies at 31 October ago... This thing are not only happened in Tokyo, It's also happen at Yokohama, Shinjuku, Shin-Kawasaki, Ofuna, Totsuka, Hodogaya stations too... 😢💔

Actually none of those here are composed by Minoru Mukaiya. SH series go credit to Hiroshi Shiozuka and others are made by different composers. I know because of those misleading information about Japanese station jingles on social media, many foreigners misunderstand the reality.

Its to give boarding passengers a subtle warning that the train is due to depart and to promptly complete boarding. Sort of how a yellow light works on the road before a red light (in this case before the doors close).
I absolutely love these melodies, especially SH3-1. Another favourite is Tsukiji Station on the Hibiya Line. Does anyone know what that one is called? Thanks!
