Your tutorials has broadened my peripheral music eye,,if there is such a thing. I'm 67 and understand it more than I ever have since listening to you. Thanks!!
Have to pass this along. After watching your video, I played around with this for hours and I mean hours. Finally, something that makes sense and is simple to work with. Just eye opening. Thank you
This is a dang good lesson. The key structure alone was worth watching over and over. I struggle to play the riffs but I see I can grow into this video.
the name of the note (#/b) depends on the key you are playing in. I like the idea of practicing both names, when you go up & down the neck, since, on the guitar, they have the same pitch. some clarification would be nice, that your definition is applicable to the strict context of your exercise. thanks for your time, and the energy you put in, to helping others advance their guitar skills. I like the way you structure your lessons, breaking them down into bite-sized segments, that are easy to understand, using very clear language, that is simple to follow along. all in all, a great teacher!
Hey Eddie, I love all your videos. GMM cuts out all the crap and gives practical lessons and shortcuts in easy to understand step by step methods. Craig Ewinger
You're all amazing. I haven't taken lessons with all of the instructors,......YET! Eddiie You Keep on Rockin my world, brother! Keep up the Great Work!
Thanks Eddy. I'm back at. I took a few days off from the guitar. Actually, I think I retained what I have learned pretty well. Your help is bringing me out of the fretboard confusion to a little bit of understanding.
OMG 😳 and in one lesson , I totally get playing in keys , I learned to throw together some basic solos , which had seemed like voodoo to me before ! Thank you thank you 🙏 thank you 🙏.
I gotta tell you Eddie! You really know how to take something that seems complicated and break it down to where even new players can understand, learn and feel like they've accomplished something cool! Thanks so much
Yes! I just did the closest thing to a real lead that I've ever done in my life. Thanks for making it simple. I could actually visualize what I wanted to play.
Eddie you da man, this is soo cool. Ive been waiting for a long time for something like this, im gonna play this all day and night till its engrained in my head. Thank you brother.😉
I've played bass for years, self taught. I'm learning lead now and your ability to teach and break it down simply gives me the confidence to press on Respect Wesley
I'm a drummer, and always wanted to play lead guitar, so I'm learning too. He has a great way of explaining things for sure. Best of luck to you Wesley
Simply Awesome, Eddie!!! Blues is probably my favorite genre of music and I always wanted to learn how to systematically play lead blues and you just taught me. Thank you very much!!
This video was helpful I was in a bit of a rut trying to teach myself but this connected a couple dots and should keep me busy for a week at least. Thanks
I know scales in all 5 positions same with maj7, min 7 arps.. But I have no clue how to play a solo that sounds like music. This is what I need to learn, can you post a lot more of this?
Hello. How can you hold the guitar so steady in sitting position? Is it on a stand ? Because whenever i practice in sitting position i pay so much effort to hold and carry the guitar same time, this negatively impacts my control over the keyboard. What would you suggest? Thank you very much. Cheers.

Quick question if anyone can help? I get that Eddie's playing the Am pentatonic scale in the first example and hope I'm right in assuming he's playing the CAGED shapes so get where the G is coming from in the first hotspots. What I don't understand is where the G# is coming from. He plays G, G# then A on the low E string before moving to the A string. How does the G# fit into the Am pentatonic scale in this shape? Can't even see the G# in the blues scale 🥴
music theory is not my strong area. but we are told that we are playing in the key of A. can someone explain to me why the first note in the first lick is a G note ?
