Not certain, but from what I understood the Chinese Wukong is not the original character, the Hanuman most likely pre-dates Wukong: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanuman So to put is simply this short is made to compare the evolution of original, from India origin through Chinese version to King Kong Holywood blockbuster. It goes to show that most concepts are being recycled over and over again throughout the history.
