Well while you're back tracking you'll need to revisit Liurnia of the Lakes. I think you've been to the Albinauric Village in the south west part. There is a pot there you need to smash for a medallion half, you'll gain access to something much better than T pose later on. The other half of that medallion comes after the Lion Castle.
