This song was mostly Paul Stanley in the studio. He recorded the bass line and all of the guitars. This is when Gene started getting distracted, trying to be a movie star, and Paul had to carry the band through most of the eighties. The unplugged version of this is amazing. This is one of my favorite missions. This whole album is great. This is their so called disco album. It has disco elements, it is still rock n' roll at heart.

Paul Stanley’s parents were close friends with my parent’s close friends. I remember, maybe ten years ago, the Stanley’s actually sent a limousine to their home in Cabrini NY and picked them up, took them to front row seats for a KISS concert. They totally loved when the crowd would put their arms up on the sway, they did say it was a little loud for them…lol. I think the concert was likely in the late eighties/early nineties. But they loved the music!

This is one of my absolute favorite KISS songs, but my favorite version was from KISS Alive IV: Kiss Symphony....KISS played a couple of shows with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, and broke the show into 3 acts: Act I, KISS by themselves rocking hard. Act II, KISS with the Melboiurne Symphony Ensemble (not quite the full orchestra..."Sure Know Something" was played this way, with Gene doing duty on an acoustic bass). ACT III, KISS with the full orchestra...in all of its glory. You can find many of the songs on UA-cam.
