i dont feel like my emotions matter. i feel like i don’t matter. every time i feel ignored or unseen i get so triggered. emotional neglect is so horrid. its like this monster i can’t heal. i feel like there’s something very wrong with me.

Understood. I doubt it will help, but I think you matter. I think you are entitled to your feelings and deserve to be here and to get you needs met. I have this issue, too. I also do the other extreme of thinking I've said/done something wrong. I come home from attempting to be with others and run through everything I think I might have done wrong. It is exhausting.
      Best to you.

I'm controlled by the inner critic so much so that it encompasses my life 6:28

For me I was the daughter that how you described at the beginning had all materialistic things, parents at graduations ect. If I told my mom about friends her response would be I don't know those kids. My dad would always rage on me. When I started focusing more on experiences than materialistic things the emotional neglect was full blown apparent

Great explanation and I felt cared for, too, which is strange.
On another note: basically we are immature. People think of us as children instead of people who didn't get our needs met so that we could show up in the world as mature adults able to deal with stress. It is something that was done to us but for which we are stigmatized.

Asking for help and personal relationships are hard ones for me, but I think trust is number one.

Lack of trust is a major one. I cannot trust anyone not even the postman 😅

Great how you explained the disconnection in relation to CEN. Most people don't see/understand this.

Thanks for not titling this "Mother Wound," that's too close to saying God allowed me to be born in the wrong family... Or God made a mistake concerning me
