- The inaugural New Zealand Wingfoil Championships at Manly Sailing Club was incredible!
We had 2 amazing days of racing and got through 10 races in total. Day 1 was wild to say the least with gusts of over 35 knots. Day 2 provided more enjoyable conditions for both the sailors and race officials on the water with more moderate winds.
Thank you to the team at the Manly Sailing Club and to all the amazing volunteers both on the water and onshore for running such a fantastic event!

Josh Armit won the inaugural New Zealand Wingfoil National Championships! Josh put on a dominant performance winning 8 out of the 10 races held. This is very impressive in light of the high calibre of foilers in the fleet. His time-on-distance to the start of the regatta was perfect… he landed in Auckland Airport from his last regatta overseas on the iQFOIL at 10am before making it in time for Race 1 just after midday.
Aimee Bright won the Women's division in the inaugural New Zealand Wingfoil National Championships!
Aimee sailed exceptionally well this weekend and it is always great to see her flying around the racecourse with so much skill and determination!
She is an excellent wingfoiler and we are looking forward to supporting her as she races in the ANOC World Beach Games held in Bali in August!
Nice! Was it course racing or slalom? Good to see so many people participating
Hi there, yes it was a fantastic turnout of people. The course Start - Reach on Starboard to Mark 1 - Downwind to Mark 2 - Back Upwind to Mark 1 - Down to 2 - Then a reach on Port to a Finish boat. Simple course and worked well. :)
