Paul, Alec, Trell, and Larry are throwing down in a round robin style tournament, each building two of the 8 new decks to see who's got the skills to be crowned the winner. How did u guys keep track of spell tokens becaue as a vewer having a visual to see for each players spell tokens would be nice.
Dule redeyes vs vampire lords 2 had several misplaced that would normal have resulted in a disqualification due to effects from the vampire lords not being used 2 cards should have been discards but were put in the grave yard allowing several card to be used that shouldn't have been vampire retainer was put in tye grave yard 2× when it should have been discarded but Alec instead put vampire fimilar in the banish zone ignoring what card should have been put on the banish zone
Alec said he was not useing a cards effect that was once per dule but used it anyway 😂im confused as all hell you guys had structure decks and still somehow were not able to follow the rules or cards effects properly 😅 I've noticed this happening in past videos were you guys break rules and not use cards effect or proper ruling. Anyone rember somthung called missed timing for cards effects or chaining stuff that is not chainible....
@@mohamadsalam25 these clowns can't even use car effectsnfrom structure decks properly.... Alec said he was not ganna use his once per dule effect but used it..... so any non bioest judge would deem that as cheating 🙄 so saying u don't active a card effect when u are prompt to but use the effect when u decline it like Iv just got back into yugioh 4 years ago so dispite I may be a yugi boomer I've been able to make it to international for 3 out of the past 4 years so seeing content makers unable to use or play simple decks properly just make me feel sick and itchy
When Larry says I demand a redo I just burst out laughing. We've all been there when it comes to our opening hands.
This is why Magic the Gathering has the mulligan rule. The number of times I draw hands like that is funny.

You can instantly tell trell is a competitive yugioh , Just thos little mannerisims like " delclaring phases" his thought process , when thinking about what alec could do on his turn
Trell is a regional champion I think, or at least, near that level. Dude is like the best player in team aps and where he lives apparently.
There was a deleted video where trell actually admits he plays competitive.
I felt a wave of nostalgia in the second match. Some good old Alec vs Paul! Just like back in the days of the rare hunters!

Same same thoughts. Maybe teach the prof speed duel cause its a easier version of Yugioh. Maybe he'll be able to even play by himself even more. I love when there are cross overs from Yugioh and magic and even Pokemon. I love TCGs to be fair.
I’ve played Magic and Pokémon TCG. I never once was interested in Yugioh until I started to watch your videos. I slowly became somewhat more familiar to how the mechanics work. Enough to make me want to get legacy of the duelist for switch. It’s still a slow learn for me trying to understand deck builds. Now I’m interested in getting the physical cards to try it out myself in person. The games sometimes just seem to have the cards they need in a convenient time lol and nothing really beats the real aspect of dueling in person. I’m 34 and I’m not too into the link summoning or others but as time goes on and I learn more of the mechanics I think I’ll warm up to them. I know I’m in the minority but I like Rush duels as well. Different format but a little more accessible and more closely tied to the original format of yugioh. Keep up the good work fellas. Thanks for opening my world to the Duelist kingdom. End phase.
I was into Yu-Gi-Oh! as a kid when it first came out. I stopped collecting the cards in high school and my early twenties. I’m 34 also and I started heavily collecting cards again a few years ago. I am still learning deck builds myself and how to conduct all the different summoning mechanics. I’m not a fan of pendulums but I like links and the XYZ that I can understand.
Please do more of these, speed duel is the best. Even get a tournament going using these cards and the previous speed duel gx boxes. That would be great to watch

Woohoo, Amazoness! First archetype I ever built and used. It's the one that made me realize how the game works nowadays, with specific archetypes functioning in their own ways, as opposed to the cobbling together of things I liked when I was a kid. I bounce between Fortune Lady/Witchcrafter and Traptrix nowadays, but Amazoness is always going to have a special place in my heart. Also pretty cool that it's still viable today with updates.
I know you guys always use the physical cards, but would you ever use something like dueling book? It would open up different series like a progression series that could be fun and interesting also keeps costs low
Larry experienced what our friends call a Legni H moment :D buddy retired from yugioh after an hard L, drove off in his Mustang GT, "threw out his cards", and came right back for more lol

It is worth noting that these decks are quite different to the constructed version. For example, if you were playing constructed sacred beasts you would probably only play Hamon because he is the only one that got the continuous spell that came with the structure deck.

I've found that the strongest line of play with Cloudians is to concede so you can play your other deck

It took me years to realize that the archfiends were chess themed but I was TODAY YEARS OLD when I noticed the background of the cards has a chess board 🤯🤦🏻♂️
I'm watching season 2 of GX. I have to say that it is really fun to watch. I had my doubts because I grew up on the original. But I'm glad it turned out for the better. My aunt (72) enjoys it as well. I grabbed 2 of these packs. 1 to open and the other to keep. My niece and I play speed duel but with 8k. God bless

Ooh Larry playing spell cards when his zones are full because the trap monster still takes a spot 😂
Not anymore. As of april 1st 2020 via MR5, they only take up the zone that they're in now (so monster zone if a monster) but still treated as both a monster and trap card even if in the monster zone.
I played this box for 4 hours and honestly it felt like the Evil Heroes deck is OP, I never lost with it. I'm really surprised how badly it performed for Alec
We only played with these for minutes, so that probably explains it.
