Tommy is the Iwagumi specialist and his scapes always impresses me. It's not easy to get the placements of the rocks and the details right so that it looks very natural. I hope that he will be ranked highly for his submission to this year's IAPLC. Good luck and all the Best Tommy!

Awesome tanks! I think it would be fun to see an “aquascaping relay”. Draw straws, then have one person choose tank size and limitations, one person build the hardscape, and one person do all the plants. I think the handoffs can be potentially funny since y’all know how to “challenge” each other’s skills and preferences well. Three people for one tank, instead of three people for three tanks.

What's wrong with internal filters, they do the job
@@haar637 everybody must have used internal filters in the hobby at some point. I hate filters in general, from a maintenance point of view, but I'm long over internal ones. With filters, bigger is better and an internal filter is inherently limited in volume. Plus, most of them have sponge filters only, which are a poor filtration medium.
LOL, well internal filters obstruct the view, take up space and they don't host enough bio filter media (plus they're inefficient with mostly sponges.)

So I'm paying 1,100€ for a 400l tank plus cheap ikea style, non-massive wood cabinet? And then it still wobbly? That seems way too much, since the raw cost for dyi solid wood is definitely cheaper.
Buy IKEA, reinforce yourself, done.
thats €1100 for just that, no light, no filter, no plants, no soil, no hardscape, no fish, no co2 system.. thats my main problem with ''high end'' brands sure its quality but at some point you are just paying extra for the name and self imposed status
Well, that's all about the "set" things. You pay mainly for the brand, and little bit of its design. Still, I think most hobbyist prefer normal tank with open top, it's just better.❣
There are many ways go go about this hobby, the Highline set is a bit higher quality. I personally prefer open-top tanks too, but there are times in which that is not an option, and I know many people who were happy to have this set in their homes - at this price too. Luckily there are alternatives, nobody is forcing anybody to buy anything. LOL

I have the 300 and 200 Highline, they came complete with lighting and filter... at in the UK. 300 has the Thermo 850 and 200 has the thermo 600.
Yes, some will sell the tanks with gear.
Seems weird that the cabinets are made out of laminates when they have a high likelihood of getting wet.
Well, we've got laminated cabinets at Green Aqua that have been soaked a couple of times by overfilling the tank, and they're still holding, LOL.

Attila went for the very conventional style here. There are many people who prefer this. He did many advanced scapes too in the past.

@@LukaszTiiger I really hate closed types and my sister's kid would just remove the stones and replace from the garden ones and ended up leaking dozens of silicates which led to diatoms lol. I'm now having a separated room for my planted tanks

It's probably nothing but I wonder if the large super heavy rocks (along with all other smaller ones) affects the structure of the aquarium. Meaning, is there internal pressure caused by the rocks that eventually weakens all the connecting edges of an aquarium.

You have perfected the layouts with stones. But I would like to see a completely different setting from you. How about at least one dutch style aquarium, only plants, no hardscape. The most beautiful aquariums I have ever seen were dutch style aquariums.

Thanks Mike, you're the best. I would say though, that Eheim has a very long track record and a very high quality of build. Oase is a great brand and a good company, relatively new to aquascaping. Read between the lines pls.
Lol I have always used Eheim for decades and love their products but always looking for something new and Green Aqua knows there stuff!
Hi, Your work, as usual, is brilliant, but I have a request: if you get along well with oase, convince them that it should not fall with the quality of, for example, biomaster, after two months of buying the filter, the gasket of the vent pump button started to dissolve, unfortunately it will not work You can buy it separately and you have to buy the whole prefilter - this is a mockery of the customer, my case is not the only one and everything indicates that the problem is recent, I also have a problem with the prefilter gasket, I have to get parts under the complaint, but you have to wait around 6 weeks - this is another mockery of the client, the next problem is the poor quality hose connection nozzles where it is possible to draw air or push out water, it does not help to twist the nut strongly, oase apparently knows about this problem because it adds metal bands that spoil the aesthetic appearance, such things should not be the case given the "high quality oase" and the high price of this equipment
missing those builds of the square tanks at green aqua. Hope you revamp them soon

(40cmx23cmx25cm)
and I also Got A Good Internal Filter and the Temperatures are also All right as I Live in India my Water Temperature is around 26-28Celcius.

Makes the water warmer and it does not help with the gas exchange. But prevents fish from jumping out or cats from fishing. :)

Thats disappointing to see the materials used for building cabinet. If it had structural supports with laminate panels screwed or bolted on, it would have been just fine.
Laminate particle board furniture isnt made to last, it isnt convincing at all no matter how much you engineer it...same philosophy as the Ikea, but ikea isnt a premium product anyway and not meant to last.
The main problem I have with this is that the more you make short term furniture, the more waste it creates...dire commercialisation, particle board is quite detrimental to environment as well.
You are talking about the StyleLine set, but there is the HighLine set too, which is a different kind of build, aimed at people who want higher quality.
Totally disagree with voting results. I like all three. They are different, but all are awesome.
And i see I have used too less sand :) Just starting a bigger aquarium and now the hardscape "balancing". But I need two-sided aquarium, because it should be viewed from both sides. did you guys actually had something like this? Especially challenging it is, of course, at normal widths of 30-35cm..
The only thing I dont like are these racks. Are they really Ok for so heavy aquariums? It is about 100+kg of sand only. Additionally +150-200liters of water. So in total about 300kg. And all of this is standing on this tiny Ikea-like cabinets?!
i have soil and light in my aquarium but my plant's leaves still getting rusty and yellowish..I use micro and macro fertilizer as well
do you have enough co2? Extra iron fertilizer can also help.

@@ahmed73993 after watching your videos, the aquarium is just really small and there are too few plants in it. In order for a certain biology to develop, it needs a certain tank size and the more plants the better

I bought a Filtosmart 100 and it is terrible. The whole thing is a PiTA to clean. From 90 degree fittings, so you can't get a cleaner in there, to crappy hose attachments. The attachments are terrible to undo when you do maintenance, esp if you have damp hands. I am a fit adult, with strong grip, and I can't imagine anyone with arthritis or weaker grip being able to do any maintenence. The hoses are so stiff that the inflow and outflow constantly become unattached, mainly because they are just a weak press fit. The filter itself is terrible to clean, and leaks until you get it running and it depressurises.

Not true, if you compare them to the competition, with similar quality. But yeah, you can always find more budget-friendly alternatives, but they mostly come with a heavy compromise.
