Video 24 of asking for a tank with some freshwater dolphinfish please.
I like this. Going to be interesting to follow the progress.
Wait a minute - you love live green plants and yet your lunch had not a one to be seen! Eat your greens; they are good for you!
@@jonisolis9645 the grass feed beef I ate had the the nutrients from the greens ;)
Your Blue Acara jumpers are you going to get 4XL stock?
MD Do you ever get the opportunity to walk into your studio, feed your fish and Timmy, and just take in the beauty of your tanks? No work, just enjoyment?
Working on them is enjoyment. Sure watching the tanks thrive is nice, too, but working on them is clearly his passion.
My name is timmy:)
No
@@morganboykin4377 creating the scapes you mean. MD has made it pretty clear that maintenance isnt what he likes to do in this hobby.
Im pretty sure he does, he doesn’t film everything when he is there
My only complaint with these videos is it makes me want more tanks 😅 really looking forward to seeing these come together tho 👌
I have 3 tanks now thanks to you… started with a 5gal and very quickly sat up a 10gal about 3 weeks later, just setup my 29gal tank about 2 weeks ago. You gave me the multi tank syndrome bug! 😂
Love the triple tank scape😊! I'm worried about how on the edge of the blocks the end cabinets are tho, especially when you come to clean the glass inbetween the tanks! The blocks may tip up,but if you put a piece of timber between the base of the cabinet and the blocks it's sitting on, it would eliminate the risk of the blocks trying to flip up! I'm not criticising your work MD❤😉,I'm only worried, and would hate to see any disasters! Keep up with the Inspiring designs!!
I was thinking the same thing. The other solution is to set the end of the cabinet in the center of the blocks instead of the edge =)
@@agirlnamedmichael1670 I would turn the blocks 90 degrees for sure
I’d love to see a video of how your methods have changed and what your current favorite method is for setting up a scape. I was watching (and following) your methods from a few years ago where you used organic compost, and I faced some of the issues you’ve mentioned about it being too strong. Later I realized you had switched to aquatic compost to avoid that 😅but I love your methods and would enjoy a video about what you’ve learned and how you’ve improved on your old methods
You should make water bridges for the fish to swim between all 3 tanks. Then you really can say it is an 8ft as it is technically one tank! xD
You could filter all 3 that way too
I suggested this sort of idea a while back with your nano shrimp setups, splitting wood between multiple tanks to give the effect of one large tank. Must say I'm so glad you're doing it and on such a huge scale, it's going to be impressive! Excited to see it progress!
Want some credit?
Love from India 🇮🇳
Man your ability to come up with and then implement some really inventive and unique layouts is just flat out impressive. I’m definitely digging this build!
Brilliant idea with the three tanks flowing together! I absolutely love the placement of the wood pieces. Looking forward to part 2.
Same ,the idea is something I may have to copy 😊
MD u show ur 3 hours of efforts in 30 secs!! U just make it look so easy, like anybody can do it.... Believe me, ur energy is unmatchable for many!!! God Bless and Keep Shining!!! One Man Army!!!
I’d love to see you do a father fish style substrate with the MD style scape 🤩 that would be the ultimate
When you started naming all the stuff you wanted to get rid of, I was sitting here saying, keep it all. And 5 seconds later you were using the blocks!! Again, keep everything!!🎉
Hahahahahahaaaaa, yes, I was thinking the same
I can't wait to see the final result. I love your ideas. The wood going through the tanks will be beautiful.
I love how today's video also satisfies my curiosity about what other people are having for their lunch.
Nice to see you got them all in the same colour 🤣 my OCD is happy!
They look so good lined up.
Your evolving substrate thinking is very interesting, pond soil works great for me (though an expert from PFK, admittedly, some 25 years ago, told me to keep it for ponds), though I do not have tap water with a low pH, but I find you are right, for most stem plants a pH below 7 is highly beneficial, but I do inject CO2 and lower the TDS. I find Superfish lights a bit mauve in colour perhaps 2000 too blue on the Kelvin scale, I get a lot less bothersome algae with a Kelvin rating around 4-5000. Very interesting project.
This is such a cool idea, excited to see how this turns out!
Enjoyed that Video, looking forward to see the Finished Result!
You ought to try and bridge all 3 tanks. Or make new tanks with a bridge between them. Just an idea. 😊
Looks amazing already! 🌿
Md ,could you do a shallow River aquarium for hillstream loaches like you have before
Bye the way I liked how you showed us what you were eating ,it looked delicious 😊
Fascinating build idea! Can't wait to see the next installment.
Love the pond compost idea. Will definitely try this as I rescape my aquariums later this summer
I just sorted out the hardscape for my new 49L tank. Plants arriving this week. Your tips with the pond compost have been a money saver! Loving your stuff!
Looks great so far!
This guy popped one day in my feed out of no where. Never though about fish before but after that video was hooked lol.
Super vidéo, un grand merci à vous!
Cool idea
very awesome video amazing setup i cant wait to see the finished project
can't wait for the next episode!
Love the triple tank idea MD. I think this has the potential to be your best project yet and I can’t wait to see your vision unfold!
really cool look
You'll probably never see this but having a mirror finish on the sides would give it the illusion of it stretching across all the way.
When filled with water, it will have mirror finish on the sides.
Looks great so far, looking forward to the scape. Thank you for the video.
Fish bridges would be good linking the 3 tanks
you should give us a lunch snippet every video lol :)
I think it’s time for a apisto update video for all us new to the hobby , you got my friends into keeping apisto’s now I’m following and doing a build 🤙
Love this idea! Looking forward to seeing it come together 🤩
I love this! I can’t wait to see the next video. Thanks MD!
Great setup! I remember you mentioning this idea in the old studio, happy to see it come together so epically now. Great idea with the cinder blocks. Lovin' the old school MD music too. Can't wait for ep 2!
Looking great i can actually see whats going now and its going to be amazing. Thanks for sharing
SO EXCITED to see where this goes! maybe have a few pieces literally go tank-to-tank, like a really bendy piece seated in one and drop into an adjacent tank? SO much potential here, really looking forward to see this project progress!
Wonderful can’t wait
This is gonna looks so cool!
You can put a transfers bridge for fish if you wanted let them jump from tank to tank an explore I’m only a quarter through so you might have one at the end
I'd love to be able to get Superfish tanks in Australia. Their packs take the guess work out of the process and they look so good.
Same here. I'd also like that aquatic compost and nutribase, not sure what our equivalent is?
Great start MD, looking forward to the next episode 🙂
Gonna be a great build
I remember ages ago that you talked about this idea and seeing it come to life is amazing
90s vibes from the royalty free music
Cheers from France ❤❤❤
That lunch had me drooling!
samesame
Not sure if just tomatoes count as a salad though
Studio is looking great mate
MD your place has a high ceiling space and maybe you can put a small part with a second floor with steel bars or wood depends on youso that you can have more space for storage because of that second floor and you can be able to see your tanks from above. (the spot is above your sink)
Really you are doing a great great work in your studio.
Love your videos, keep up the amazing work.
You could paint the blocks so they blend in better.
That’s so cool to see that you have the old tap vase on the shelf above!
this is so cool!!
Loving these videos, dude! It’s been years since I’ve kept a planted tank, but you’ve inspired me to start back up again!
I think this is probably my favourite project you have done. And you have lots of great ones.
Super cool 👌 😎
I've been gathering everything for a 29 gallon breeder tank I want to plant. I just need pond soil for my base mix, I have everything else base wise, some on the way. Every week I'm ordering in steps, trying to not be impatient, lol. I've been studying you for 3 years and I am so glad I'm going to benefit from your style! My Skittles tank is great, baby shrimp and snails, plants, wood, mineral rocks.... so much harder trying to keep water parameters on a 5 gallon as opposed to a 30 gallon, ugh. But I'm learning! I have had the gravel forever, and cutting cost even more, using field stones (rounded edged flattish cobbles, really) from a farmer who has a huge pile he said we could take, we were using them in our laser etching business as monument stones. Smaller grade pebbles from the ocean beach, which match the stone colors. Using what I have without compromising my vision. I'm staying with API products, just need an extra powerhead, decorative wood, plants and fish... Going for a nano tank, South American fish species (maybe, lol). Thank you for showing us everything, even teaching /learning moments (ooops!) lol. You're an inspiration for not only planted tanks, but also the fish keeping. By the way, did you ever do that mud skipper tank? I thought it would be interesting but not sure on plants, tho I suppose it would be part terrestrial plants from their area habitats, a long tank they could meander along and hop in and out of water? Cute little things but not sure you'd be challenged to try a build or not. :-) i'm sticking to the classic neons, endlers as well, and a good looking clean up crew, I already have shrimp and snail's to go in by the time it's ready, a couple feature fish TBD. I'll have to order green neons, those l absolutely love! Zooommmmmm.... lol. Anyway, I rambled but you all know that excitement on setting up a new tank, so forgive me! LOL!
Would have been interesting to get a piece of hardscape the length of the tanks, then cut it up, so it was obvious that it was all from the same original piece.
Probably quite difficult to find something that size thats also nice enough though.
Looks great so far...❤
Thats a unique idea✨
AWESOME!
I feel like your tanks turn out so well when you are able to work through your own vision, instead of trying to include other's ideas that might not really work with what you are trying to do.
It's an idea I've been thinking of doing for a while as not being able to afford an 8ft im glad you are doing it I know it will be amazing
I wish Super Fish was in the USA!
Awesome aquariums 😊
Might be interesting to do a tank as more of a long term project one, starting with maybe all tissue culture for example and giving updates as it develops, would be interesting to see as something different to the instant impact
Here we go...again! Great stuff, entertaining plus a good dose of imparted knowledge...
I love this concept. I'm really excited to see how it turns out.
The blocks at some point is going to be a bad idea. The doors will start to scratch when opening.
Love this! It feels like the center is going to be the main trunk of the tree ya know with the left and right tanks just carrying on the root system. I don't know, but this is going to be cool! Also that 8ft tank is really looking like a little piece of paradise.
Really happy to see the darker sand here, because some fish are going to feel much more comfortable with dark rather than light substrate :) Really looking forward to future videos on this, it all sounds really cool
We need to change the term Multiple Tank Syndrome to MD Syndrome. No one else's fish room makes me want more tanks more than MD🤣
How many aquariums do you have altogether? Love the videos and the creativity. Thank you for sharing this with all of us.
I would like to see you do a brackish mudskipper habitat
Love the Of Men and Wolves background music!
Paint breeze blocks beige to copy floor . Simple fix and you won't see em as much . Bloody awesome idea thou love this vid
🤯🤯🤯 awesome 👏🏻 thank you
Maybe try to bridge the three tanks with those tunnel tank things that go over the top?
Love the concept! I think what you’re going for sounds like a “Tree of Life”. Picture a tree stump with the base mainly in the middle tank, with its legs/roots branching out into and through the side tanks. Really cool! Can’t wait to see the final results!!!
Love this concept. In the future, it would be cool to customize each tank to be a different season.
Can’t wait to see the next episode.
been binge watching your videos and stoked to refresh to a brand new upload!!! im about a month off setting up my first tank when i move and have been buying all the needs, but SO EXCITED TO GET TO THE WANTS!! your videos are very inspiring, thank you from australia!!
OMG CAN SOMEONE TELL ME HOW TO CHANGE MY UA-cam NAME i set that when i was a teenager and thought it was funny!!
@@LilE143 it is funny 🤣🤣
this looks amazing pls dont change the big pieces of driftwood they are awesome ! much love
Think about all the fish who are swimming along and hit the glass snd think there's an invisible force field 😂😂😂
I have those shoes 👟 😂. Very comfy
You might think about using the recessed areas on the wall for continuous wood for the terrestrial plants to climb on. Maybe also put another set of lights above those from the ceiling or wall somehow. Looks great so m far.
Cardinals!!
Soundtrack is way better than before 😎
Time to move to a BIGGER STUDIO, MD. It's time. Something big and multi-level.
My frog hoodie is in transit and I'm pumped about it. 😂 love the merch
You should do those water colomns/tunnels that go above the water and fish can swim through them linking all 3 tanks together
I was wondering if you would be joining them up with those water bridge things. But then you wouldn't be able to keep those species that needed to be separate. Great concept , love the way you've set those 3 up
Md could you do a 4 foot black water aquarium like how you have done in the past with the neon tetra black water aquarium 😊
It would be cool if the wood coming out the top of one tank would go over and into it's neighbouring tank. I think that would help with linking the tanks together.
