Have you ever seen Loves blueprint? What a construction site Imagined raw materials Yielding to a Carpenter… But how can mirrors be secure Where there are no walls? And how can walls stand Without a foundation? Hopelessness, is just one name Of a leaf on a tree called broken Now the battle to fill holes And the battle to feel whole Are one in the same. So for those thirsty for comfort You just don’t wish them well We become one A home. Just because it has an address Doesn’t mean it’s safe for a heart In such places there are no warranties So things broken in it Are not covered. Just because there’s a roof Doesn’t mean those under it escape the rain when it storms. What if I told you all homes Weren’t made with planks and bricks? What if I told you that home Is what we make of it? Cause I see home in conversations Baptized with grace I see home in phone calls Turned warm meal over dining table Prayers of faith Having folk leave so full They have to walk out with Tupperware Filled with “I can do this”! I see home in lives Laid down like welcome mat Positioned to ensure others Never carry outside burdens in I see home.. in us We were built for this An Architect named Love Designed us to express Himself fully Structures have a hard time standing Unless supported by beams Grounded and joined across We are grounded and joined By a cross.. Our purpose is To make room as we build refuge For those whose shelter Has been devastated by The hurricanes of poverty Tsunamis of war And earthquakes of oppression A house can be lived in But a home has been loved on We are loved So we love. Just look at us Fearfully and wonderfully made An open floor planned With no walls between us No hinges on these hearts Our arms crafted like living rooms So go Go and tell the broken “There’s still room here, come home.”

Beautifully spoken….u r an artist!
Have you ever seen Loves blueprint?
What a construction site
Imagined raw materials
Yielding to a Carpenter…
But how can mirrors be secure
Where there are no walls?
And how can walls stand
Without a foundation?
Hopelessness, is just one name
Of a leaf on a tree called broken
Now the battle to fill holes
And the battle to feel whole
Are one in the same.
So for those thirsty for comfort
You just don’t wish them well
We become one
A home.
Just because it has an address
Doesn’t mean it’s safe for a heart
In such places there are no warranties
So things broken in it
Are not covered.
Just because there’s a roof
Doesn’t mean those under it escape the rain when it storms.
What if I told you all homes
Weren’t made with planks and bricks?
What if I told you that home
Is what we make of it?
Cause I see home in conversations
Baptized with grace
I see home in phone calls
Turned warm meal over dining table
Prayers of faith
Having folk leave so full
They have to walk out with Tupperware
Filled with “I can do this”!
I see home in lives
Laid down like welcome mat
Positioned to ensure others
Never carry outside burdens in
I see home.. in us
We were built for this
An Architect named Love
Designed us to express Himself fully
Structures have a hard time standing
Unless supported by beams
Grounded and joined across
We are grounded and joined
By a cross..
Our purpose is
To make room as we build refuge
For those whose shelter
Has been devastated by
The hurricanes of poverty
Tsunamis of war
And earthquakes of oppression
A house can be lived in
But a home has been loved on
We are loved
So we love.
Just look at us
Fearfully and wonderfully made
An open floor planned
With no walls between us
No hinges on these hearts
Our arms crafted like living rooms
So go
Go and tell the broken
“There’s still room here, come home.”
