When I was a child my grandparents lived in a mobile home. I would go to visit them for a week in the summer. I used to go in my bedroom and put my face over the the A/C vent in the floor and cover my head with a blanket and let this exact sound of the wind wooshing through my ears lull me to sleep. I always thought it was strange so I never told anyone about it until right now. That was 40 years ago. It was so calming.

I see all these comments about how people find this so relaxing but it really makes me more anxious. I find myself anticipating the rhythms of waves or rain which relax me, so it frustrates me when that doesnt happen. I'm not complaining, just find it interesting how so many people find this relaxing but it stresses me out!!

I also have upstairs neighbors their stomping and dragging their stuff and dropping things on the floor is loud and the one who stays up until 3 AM is right above my bed so I need different color noise to help me sleep and I use this too
@@jessicaslutter3857I’m sorry you have to go through that. My neighbour is just an angry, misogynistic man who uses stomping and slamming to communicate with me. I have one that lives across the hall who’s the exact same way.

i was just listening to this while doing random things (i completely forgot abt that) then it randomly stopped and i just "got back to reality". fantastic.
I’ve been using this video for that past month so to fall asleep every night and it’s helped so much, I don’t like white noise I feel like it’s to loud, high pitched and it makes my ears ring a bit. I never knew that white noise had different colors lmao. I love this one a lot more it’s softer and deeper and I just knock out so fast, it would usually take up to 30 minutes for me to fall asleep with white noise and longer if it was just silence. I do still have trouble with falling asleep/sleeping, brown noise has not cured me lmao, but this has helped me.
i am watching this whenever i am feeling anxious during my depression period, then now I realized I watched this for how many times now, I'm not sure anymore, and realized I am still on this circle rn..
this reminds me of a memory from the beach in hawii, me just walking looking for rocks and cool sea shells those times were better i wish i could relive them, i'd get to talk to my grandma that died a year after this memory. There is another memory, sitting in a hotel on the balcony watching the stars listening to the ocean exited about the things im doing the next day...
I really appreicta this brown noise because its extremly smoothed out and the lower volume helps that smooth ess, also my TV is very loud and i often need quiter sounds/music to sleep too. I appreciate this very much
It's like standing on top of a mile high skyscraper in an immense climate-controlled building... Endless gray-ish white, and the subtle chill of wind-like air conditioning..
been using this every night to fall asleep. any sort of slightly high pitched tick type of sound irks me to my core and makes me go insane (and i live in a very busy house so those noises are constant) but this video does me wonders for cancelling out those types of noises. thank you ❤

when I was a kid, there was a river not too far away from my window, in summer when I let the window open at night I used to fall asleep thanks to the river noise and it sounded exactly like that
My baby is agitated because he’s hungry and his mom is on her way home to feed him. I put this sound on and he went to sleep. This sound put a hungry baby to sleep!
this sound is so relaxing, it sounds like the perfect balance of cars driving past, airplanes, ocean waves, wind, and rain! love it 🥰

sounds like this often work in comforting the human brain because it mimics the sounds we experienced in the womb! Everything a bit muted, and under water since we're in the fluids of our mother's uterus. It's also why some people find great comfort in being swaddled up tightly in heavy blankets, or submerging themselves under the warm water of a bath. The isolation, but comfort of warmth/knowing someone is with you but also no one will bother you either is a very natural and comforting thing for most mammals. Even puppies tend to fall asleep easier in their new homes when they can be near their new owners, hearing them breathe, their heartbeats, or when they have a warm, dark place to rest that mutes the sounds of the outside world and provides a safe little nook to both observe and just exist and rest without having to be on alert.

i play this in the background when i read because my house is so loud, its great
off topic, but i cant believe 2017 was 7 years ago 0.0
😮😮😮
I see all these comments about how people find this so relaxing but it really makes me more anxious. I find myself anticipating the rhythms of waves or rain which relax me, so it frustrates me when that doesnt happen. I'm not complaining, just find it interesting how so many people find this relaxing but it stresses me out!!
This sound is like wearing a comfy jumper & snuggling up beside an open fire toasting marshmallows....
/s
This ish gets me to sleep every night ever since i’ve heard of it! it makes my sleep better without melatonin or any sleeping drug! ty universe for making this a thing
This is the best brown noise I have ever heard.
😂😂😂😂
i love this so much! it really helps me feel comfy and safe and makes studying way more pleasant!
no it doesn't
@@dionst.michael1482 *it doesn't for you. please speak for yourself ❤
no it doesn't
@@umamifan thanks, your comment reminded me that this video exists so now i can listen to it again!! :D
i don't understand why ppl hating on u for no reason. i'm so sorry for you T^T
Upstairs neighbor won’t shut up with his stomping so using this to block him out until I leave this apartment in 77 days!
Now how many days left?
@@DigitalConfusion160. I move out September 1.
I dont know whether this is a placebo effect but this unironically helps me fall asleep. I fall asleep within an hour and this video is perfect for it :3
reminds me of the long 12 hour airplane rides when they would turn the lights off inside the main cabin and “nighttime” would officially begin on the plane. fun times.
my academic life is gonna thank you, so productive now, a week ago i think i'm dumbest person, but now, a little smart.
My 3 month old baby loves this video, I use it for every nap time 🥰
This sounds like your on a plane but way more relaxing
This is the only part I enjoy about flying long distance is sleeping to this type of sound.
Oh My God, thank you infinite spirit. This is the most relaxed I have been since I can remember. This is like a massage for my brain, it literally puts all those racing thought to sleep. All I can focus on when I hear this is the sound and it’s so relaxing. It’s like a fan mixed with a smooth jet engine, I can’t explain it. My new go to for meditation and sleep. I’m listening to right while doordashing been listening to it all day and my day has been amazing, thank you soooooooo much, you have no idea. Brown noise out here really saving lives.
thank you for making these videos theyre really great for drowning out noise. my mother makes a lot of noise while im sleeping in the next room and this drowns her out completely
POV: You're a layer of the Earth's crust.
LOL
Im here every night almost for a week. That video is incredible. Im just in love…
Hi again
Fell asleep so deeply while listening to this in class that I slept through the bell 😅
I had this on speakerphone and left it on my nightstand next thing I knew I woke up at 5am. Unreal how this put me to sleep faster than anaesthesia it seems!
That's a mix with the ocean and the rain. I feel so in peace. That's amazing
*Right now, there are people all over the world who are just like you. They're either lonely, they're missing somebody, they're depressed, they're hurt, they're scarred from the past, they're having personal issues no one knows about, they have secrets you wouldn't believe. They wish, they dream and they hope. And right now, they are sitting here reading these words, and I'm writing this for you so you dont feel alone anymore. Always remember, don't be depressed about the past, don't worry about the future, and just focus on today. If today's not so great don't worry! Tomorrow's a new chance. If you are reading this, be sure to share this around to make others feel better. Have a nice day! :)*
that realyhelped me thank you
I love this when am studying it helps me relax and concentrate ,thanks for this!
This is perfect. My heater sounds like this but I can't leave it on all night so this is the next best thing to sleep to.
i used to use my super loud computer for falling asleep, bit now that i have some better headphones this is much better
Thank you for allowing me to naturally fix my circadian rhythms after years of poor sleep.
It feels like my brain is melting in the best way possible when listening to brown noise like- it’s perfect
this sound sounds very grey to me...not sad, more like a long, late night drive along an empty street. just hits me...i feel very comforted
Helps me when reading academic sources
genuinely falling asleep to this.
i dont know what to say about myself
its alright aha you're not alone
same girl
You are one with the brown
i was just listening to this while doing random things (i completely forgot abt that) then it randomly stopped and i just "got back to reality".
Loved it.wow I AM the type that can't study or work with music.but this is awesome
this reminds me of a memory from the beach in hawii, me just walking looking for rocks and cool sea shells those times were better i wish i could relive them, i'd get to talk to my grandma that died a year after this memory. There is another memory, sitting in a hotel on the balcony watching the stars listening to the ocean exited about the things im doing the next day...
working on my algebra homework and listening to this
Brown noise like this, even very quietly played, takes away a low-toned tone in my right ear. Relief!
Literally the thought I had in my head lol
I fall asleep to this every single night. Thank you.
been using this every night to fall asleep. any sort of slightly high pitched tick type of sound irks me to my core and makes me go insane (and i live in a very busy house so those noises are constant) but this video does me wonders for cancelling out those types of noises. thank you ❤
That's what I hear in my full face helmet when I'm riding around (passenger) with my biker friends, I love it, it reminds me of those nice times especially in highway or tunnels when going faster (love it) at a steady pace: motorcycle rides 🥰!!
please notice me I listen to your videos every nighttttt
AHH OMG

New neighbor with loud barking dog. This saves my sanity until I save up enough to break my lease and get the hell out of here. Thanks
I know exactly that feeling. I do that to so that i dont hear neighboors noises.
inspiring
this is really just standing alone on the deck of a ferry at night
i just imagined a scene like that, i want to do it so badly now.
no i don't think so lol... okay then... EDIT: /s
when I was a kid, there was a river not too far away from my window, in summer when I let the window open at night I used to fall asleep thanks to the river noise and it sounded exactly like that
My baby is agitated because he’s hungry and his mom is on her way home to feed him. I put this sound on and he went to sleep. This sound put a hungry baby to sleep!
My therapist recommended this to me and it really helps my stress
This is perfect for when I’m on the toilet
This is the only brown sound I listen to
I love it it's so relaxing I fall asleep with it every night
For my ears way way better to listen to then these very low rumbling white and grey noises.
oh my god this does wondersss 😭literally helping me finish my assignments!
I dont know why but i keep coming back and listening to this.
